YOUR POV:
"Since we have a place to go, the time has come." Oliver announces, "we need to put our plan into action. We will end this hunting ground on the next hunting day."
"Four children got killed yesterday," Lucas states, "if they follow the usual schedule, the next one should be in two or three days."
"I adjusted the strategy to include Y/N," Sonya admits, "we should go over the plan."
I noticed that Adam was standing alone by the entrance. I looked at Violet, "shouldn't we include Adam?"
"Hm?" She hums, "oh. He only keeps watch and doesn't seem to understand what we say. We're not really sure where he came from."
"Does he not speak?"
Violet shrugs, "he does...but it's always a string of numbers."
"String of numbers?" I asked myself.
Soon after we discussed the plan for the next hunt, and after that, it was time for bed.
I laid in the cot they set out for me. Everyone else was asleep while I stared up at the dark ceiling. It was nice to be able to relax, even if it was for a short period time.
I couldn't help but think about Emma, Ray and the man. I was worried about them, were they still alive and well? Did they die? Did the he kill one of them? Did he kill both of them?
Emma was probably worried about me but I knew that she was going to stay optimistic about my whereabouts. She'd probably smile and say 'Y/N isn't missing, she's just MIA right now!' Not only that, she's probably trying to calm Ray down who I'm sure is losing it.
Ray won't admit it to anyone, and I don't even think he'll admit to himself, but he's lost without me. Not in the sense that he doesn't know what to do but, I've always been there with and for him. He's probably blaming himself and thinking up the worse case scenarios since I left him while he was in a state of paranoia.
I felt tears slip down my face as I thought of the two. They were probably so worried, and may be thinking that I'm dead. Yet here I am, safe (for now) at Goldy Pond.
I reached my hand up for my necklace only to not feel it. I immediately sat up and felt around the cot, under my shirt, in my pockets...but nothing. It was gone.
I felt sick to my stomach at the fact it was missing. This mysterious locket that I have had since I was younger, suddenly missing. I shouldn't be upset about it, I don't even know who it belonged to originally and I don't even know the pictures of the people inside! But here I am, frantically panicking over such a thing.
"Y/N?" I hear a whisper beside me.
I looked to see Gillian looking at me, the moonlight coming in through the window and slightly illuminating the room.
"Are you okay?"
I hesitated for a moment, unsure if I should lie or tell the truth. I shook my head, "no. I'm not."
She frowns, "what's wrong? Are you nervous about the plan? I would be too if I was in your shoes."
I shake my head again, "no. I just miss my friends is all."
"What happened to them?"
"I was taken from them and brought here, I don't know where they are now. Not only that, my heart locket is missing. I've never taken the thing off."
"Comfort object?"
I shrug, "I don't know."
She places a hand over top of mine with a smile, "I'm sure they're okay. You're strong, and if you are, I'm sure your friends are. Violet said you shot at one of the monsters. If you can do that, I can't imagine your friends not doing the same."
I laugh, "yeah...my friend Emma would've probably done the same thing, but I'm sure she wouldn't have let anyone die. But my friend Ray? There's no telling what he would do in my place."
Gillian smiles, "Grace Field friends?"
I nod, "yeah. I've known them for a really long time."
"It's good to have friends like that. I hope we can be friends like that," she says pulling her hand away.
"Yeah, I hope so too."
She yawns, "it's getting late and I'm sleepy. You should try and get some rest." She lays down and pulls the blanket over her body, "sleep tight, Y/N."
"You too Gillian."
The next day I found myself at a home made shooting range that they had set up. They offered me new weapons, but I chose to stick with my twin pistols.
"That was a good shot, Y/N," Zack says.
"Thanks," I reply with a smile. "I'm still surprised so many of you know the truth."
Sandy shoots his gun at the paper, "yeah, they don't know that we know how to kill them."
"They think that we're weak and that's how we acted. We needed information and even though we lost many comrades, that's the sacrifice that had to be made." Sonya admits, "we know how strong the enemy is. But we will be the victors."
Zack nods, "we can't let our guard down, especially against Grand Duke Leuvis."
"Did Lucas tell you about his group?" Sonya asks.
"His group..?" I ask.
"Lucas and his old group were able to stand up against them." Sandy explains, "Lucas' best friend was apparently a leader type. His friend gave instructions, taught them how to use weapons and strategize. None of them died."
"They were amazing," Sonya says.
"They did the impossible," Zack adds.
Sandy frowns, "but once Leuvis zeroed in on them...they all died."
My eyes widened.
"He toyed with each one," Zack says.
"His skills are incredible." Sonya explains, "not only that, he's insane and unpredictable. If something goes wrong, it'll be because of him."
