A/N:
Oh good lord this is a long one. In the original this is like...2-3 chapters in one, also I changed the ending:3YOUR POV:
After supper we were going to tell Don and Gilda the truth to get them to join us on our side. We followed Norman up the stairs as we headed toward the library.
"So how are we going to tell them?" Ray asks Norman. "Truth or not, we need to word it right. Otherwise they may blow us off and the idea." Ray looks at Emma, "and don't think they'll believe you like I did."
"Well, me and Emma talked about it," Norman trails off.
"We aren't going to tell them the truth," Emma declares.
"What?!" Ray and I exclaim, "you're not gonna tell them?!"
"I don't want to put them in danger. Mama isn't moving because we haven't shown her that we know. But if someone tells her, she might ship out that person." Emma explains, "and I have every intention to make this escape work."
"Whether they know the truth or not, they might be able to live," Norman adds.
"They can call me a liar. I don't care if they hate me or hold a grudge against me in the end. But there's no point if they get killed by Mama before the demons." Emma gives a determined look, "now's not the time for the truth."
Ray and I glance at each other as we approach the library door. "Whether it's the real truth or not, getting them to believe is the main goal." Norman states as he opens the door.
Inside the library are Don and Gilda who are sat at a table.
"Thanks for waiting you two!" Norman smiles.
"What did you wanna talk about?" Don asks curiously.
Emma takes a breath and begins to tell 'the truth.'
"Human trafficking?" Don asks.
"Yeah, all of our siblings were shipped off to bad people," Emma frowns.
Don bursts out into laughter, "dude I was wondering what was so serious!"
"The wall, the gate, the fact our siblings never write to us," Norman lists.
"Come on, where's the punchline?!" Don laughed as he looked over at me and Ray.
"It's the truth," Ray says as I frown and lower my head.
"Huh? Wha—? Hold on a second..! Then what about Mom..?" Don wearily asks.
"She's the one selling us to bad people," Emma states.
"There's no way! She's so sweet and kind!" Don exclaims in disbelief. "Take it back Emma!"
"Don," Gilda finally says which gains our attention, "Emma loves this house and Mom. She has no reason to make anything up. A-And I did think it was weird," Gilda begins to tear up, "when you and Norman went to the gate, you two usually come clean about your wrong doings...but you didn't this time. When I went to say something, Norman told me to stay quiet. And then there were the chores..."
Tears slip from Gilda's eyes as she cries, "Emma you've been disappearing a lot and you always look so serious! It made me r-really hard to ask..!" Gilda rushes over to Emma and cries into her chest as Emma wraps her arms around the girl. "Did you see it Emma..? Did you see Conny being sold to those bad people..?"
"Yeah," Norman says, "we didn't make it in time."
"Then Conny," Don trails off, "she's okay though, right?!"
