With grudging eyes, unwilling to let her go, Faye stared at her, her hands clasped tightly in Kenna's as it's time for her to go.
Faye carried two bags on her shoulders, one of them that's Kenna's. Concern filled her look but this time there was more to it, an affection that Kenna had always ignored. One look and she can feel all of Faye's feelings for her, that understanding.
"You gotta stop staring at me like that, people will know." Kenna grinned despite her nervousness and fear of what's to come. She couldn't keep the small bit of joyfulness down at the sight of Faye, the thought that Faye loved her the way she loved her back.
"Then let them know, I don't care anymore." She pulled Kenna in for a quick kiss and kept her there in a tight hug.
She rested her face on the crook of Faye's neck, breathing in the sweet scent of her hair, her eyes closing to enjoy the closeness of it all. When they pulled slightly back, her thoughts kept swirling around her, she couldn't keep it in anymore.
"I can't believe I wasted all this time trying to avoid all of these feelings. I wasted so much time when we could've——"
Faye brushed her hand out in front of Kenna's mouth to stop her from finishing. "We'll have plenty of time to make up for all of it."
She nodded, still keeping up a smile even though she wanted to scream at herself and let the fear of shivers take over her.
Faye's hand brushed from her mouth to the right side of her cheek where her thumb soothed out the loose strands of dark hair that's in Kenna's face. "You really need to take more care of your hair, see, it's all over your face." A small tease sounded in the back of her voice.
She managed a light laugh. "What are you talking about, my hair is dazzling." She gave a little flip to it.
Faye gave a quirk bit of a smirk before her face went back to a more serious expression as she finally let's go of Kenna. "I'll see you soon then, good luck." With a light pat on her back, Kenna glanced over one last time at the only person that's able to make her heart jump out of her body before heading out to the final part of this plan.
She spotted the black hover car at its usual spot. Even without touching it, the tracker in her pocket felt more sensational than ever. Inhaling the heavy air of tonight, she tried to maintain her usual behavior for every visit and pick up.
Jess waved a smiley hand in the darkness, his friendly gestures as usual. But in his other hand he also carried that tech blindfold, that will once again trap her away into darkness. But she carried hope this time, knowing that she'll still be able to plant the tracker even without seeing.
"How's it going?" Jess asked as he started to lock the blindfold onto Kenna's head.
"You know, boring as usual." She got in the car with Jess's help.
He fluttered a laugh. "Haha, can't be that bad. At least you're getting fresh air unlike me stuck in a—I mean one place everyday."
"Try doing physical work almost every hour."
She shuffled into the comfort of the cushioned seat, her fingers running into her pocket where the tracker was. It sent a chill up her arm yet also a rebellious feeling. She was about to go against Dr. Novak, who she feared so much of. She tried to keep back a grin at the thought of this rebellion, because right this moment, Faye is already gathering everyone together and waiting for the signal of the tracker that'll be sent back after it is stuck on. The knowledge of that is what gave her strength, they're coming for her and Lina after all this.
The feeling of the gravity from the car slowly rising up gave way to a sickening feeling. She swallowed it away before taking out the tracker.
"You really do have a sense of humor, Kenna..." Jess chatted off as the car started.
