A cloud of despondency was hovering over Parker as he walked into the lounge with Zane.  Depression was once again eating away at him as he felt emotionally exhausted.  He dropped down into a chair as he thought he can't take much more of this. He was going to crack soon he just knew it.

"You okay?" Zane asked as he sat down.

"No." Parker hung his head. "I'm far from it." He scratched the back of his right ear. "A part of me wants to go to the office, call my dad, and see if he will come pick me up."

"Do you want to do that?" Zane asked. "Because we can if you want."

"No." Parker looked up at him. "I don't want to be stuck at the dealership all day nor do I want to be home by myself." Even if it means being surrounded by a bunch of gossip hounds with nothing better to do than spread lies and innuendos. His mind went to Arla. He thought how freely she shared information with him. How on the surface she seemed to be concerned about him but deep down she delighted in telling him about the new rumors about him. Not even that deep down he thought.

"Its Arla isn't it?" Parker said with comprehension in his eyes. "She is the one spreading these lies about me isn't she?"

"I think so." Zane said.

He gritted his teeth. "That two faced lying bitch."

"Careful Parker." Zane shifted in his seat.

"We can't let let her get away with this." Parker smacked the top of the table. He then called her something much worse as he once again exclaimed that they can't get away with it.

"Parker stop." Zane said hoping that no one was on the other side of the door. That last word was an instant paddling offense. And he would be real suspended not in school suspended like Wesley and Christine. Though he doubted that he cared right now. "I don't want to write you up."

"Sorry." Parker said as he tried to calm himself down.

"Don't worry man." Zane said. "Abigail and I are going to make sure she pays for her lies." He assured his friend. We just need to prove that it is her.

"Thank you." He said as he slumped into the chair.

"Are you sure you don't want to text your dad to come get you?"

"Yes." He said. "No." Parker let out a sigh. "Maybe." He then laid his head on the table.

"I'm going to text him."

"Okay." Parker said. "But I don't want to be stuck at the dealership."

"I'm sure your dad can figure something out." Zane said as he texted Roger. I doubt that has to be the only two choices.

Zane sent the message.

Parker then sat up. "I'm sorry to be such a drama king."

"Its okay." Zane said giving him a look of compassion.

"Do you know why Wesley is in suspension."

"No." Zane said. "All I know is that one moment he was in the cafeteria the next Dean LaMee was escorting him out."

"Do you think its because the rumor about him and Christine is true?"

"No man I don't." Zane said. His phone then rang. "Its your dad." He handed him the phone.

"Hey dad." Parker said.

"Hey buddy." Rodger said as he pulled into a shopping center. "Are you okay?"

"No." Parker held his stomach. "I don't want to be here." His voice shook. "I can't be here."

"Okay I'm coming back for you." Rodger said as he turned around in the shopping center. "Wait for me in the office."
