Forest shook his head as he began to circle him. "I'm very disappointed in you Parker." He said in a low voice deviod of emotion. "You know better than to run in the halls."
"I'm sorry." Parker stuttered as his heart began to slam in his chest with such intesity he was sure he was going to have heart attack at any moment. "I was running late for homeroom." His voice was filled with fear as he spoke. He looked around the hall for help but there was none to be found. He was alone with this person whose mere presence made his skin crawl.
"No, excuse Parker."
"No you're right." Parker looked at him. "And I am sorry."
"Look ahead." Forest said raising his voice causing Parker's head to snap for forward. "Keep your eyes forward."
"Yes, Forest."
"Again I am very disappointed in you Parker."
"And again I am sorry." Parker said. "It won't happen again I promise."
"Should have never happened in the first place."
Parker swallowed again. "I'm sorry Forest." He said weakly. "Please don't cane me." He begged.
Forest smirked. He's enjoying this Parker thought. He is enjoying the power he has over me, the terror he is inflicting upon me, the control he is exerting over me.
And he is going to enjoy beating me Parker thought. Like he did when he spanked me last year.
Not fair he thought. I was just running. It's not like I was vandalizing the school or making out with Christine in the science room.
I don't deserve this Parker thought. I don't deserve this and I am not going to submit. I refuse to submit to an unjust beating.
Parker clenched his fists ready to fight him. He might take me to the prefect lounge but I won't go easy.
"Relax Parker I'm not going to paddle you." Forest said. "This time anyway." He then smiled.
Jerk he thought. Sadistic jerk.
"But I am going to write you up."
"That's fine."
"I'm so happy that meets with you approval." Forest said annoyed. "Face the lockers, hands on your head." Forest pulled a white pad from his pocket.
Parker wanted to say no, wanted to refuse but then realized that would only give him a reason to whip him. And there was no way he was going to give this creep any reason to warm his backside.
He turned to face the lockers placing his hands on the back of his head.
This is stupid Parker thought but did not say.
"What's going on?" Parker heard Zane say as he approached them. Relief washed over him as he thought thank you Zane.
Forest gave him an annoyed look. "Mind your own business." Forest said as he wrote Parker's name on the top slip.
"I'm making it my business." Zane said much to Forest's annoyance. "What's going on?"
"If you must know Parker was running in the hall and I am writing him up." Forest said.
"But why do you have him facing the lockers like that." Zane said in frustration. "Parker turn around."
"Dont turn around Parker." Forest ordered. "Or I am going to cane you." He then looked at Zane. "And if you don't want your backside beat I suggest you shutup."
Zane closed his mouth and Forest finished writing the slip out. He then tore it off the top slip. "Alright turn around Parker."
Parker turned to face him lowering his hands. Forest seperated the slip from it carbon copy and then gave the carbon to him. Parker looked at on the infraction line was written running in the halls.
Three demerits Parker thought. Hopefully dad called the office so I won't get another five for being late to homeroom. Then again if don't get there soon I will miss it all together and get twenty five for skipping.
"Go." Forest said.
"I'll walk with you." Zane said as he walked past Forest and gave him a dirty look.
"Watch yourself Zane." Forest said.
"You too." Zane said and then put his hand on Parker's back and guided him away from him.
Careful Zane Parker thought. He will get you whipped before you ever get him
They turned a corner and Zane then asked "You okay?"
"Yeah." Parker said as his heart rate began to slow down. "He freaks me out."
"He freaks me out too." Zane said.
"Why did anyone think it was a good idea to make a power tripping, sadistic jerk like him a prefect."
"Because he's had his nose planted firmly up the backsides of the headmaster and the former head prefect." Zane told him.
"Makes sense." Parker said. "Thanks for coming to my rescue by the way."
"No problem.' Zane said.
"There's my homeroom I guess I should head in."
Parker was about to go in when Zane said "Hold on." Parker stopped and looked at him. "I need you to be on your best behavior for the next couple of days."
"Because of Forest?" Parker asked.
"That." Zane said. "And for another reason I will tell you later." He would tell him now but he needed to get himself to homeroom as well before he got in trouble. "I just need you to watch your demerits."
"Sure." Parker said. "I'm getting three for running in the hall."
"I know and I'm not sweating them or the ones you will get for being late for homeroom." He then eyed the clock. There was only fifteen minutes left of homeroom. He mused he better let him go soon.
"Well hopefully my dad called the office and I don't have to worry about those."
"I hope so too." Zane said. "But I need you to keep your demerits under twenty this week."
"Or I'm going to be punished." Parker said fearfully.
"Just do this for me okay." Zane said with desperation in his voice. "Can you stay on the straight and narrow for the rest of the week for me?"
"Sure." Parker said wondering what was going on.
"Thank you." Zane said. "Now get to homeroom."
"Okay." Parker said. "See you later."
"See you." Parker then walked into class wondering what was going on and hoping again his father did not forget. He had a feeling even if Zane did not punish him for being late Forest probably will.
The thought caused his stomach to turn again.
