Simmons car dealership...

Carson was laying on the couch staring up at the ceiling when Rodger walked in. "All done with your trainijg?" He asked as he walked over to him.

"Yes, sir." The eighteen year old sat up.

"How did it go?" Rodger inquired.

"Good." Carson nodded his head. "I passed all of my quizzes on the first try with perfect scores."

"Great buddy." Rodger said.

Carson shrugged. "They weren't really that hard."

"And still a lot of people score less than eighty on their first try." Or second try even.

"Really?" Carson questioned.

"Really." Rodger replied in a firm tone. "It took Spenser four tries to pass the safety quiz."

"Probably because he didn't pay attention when he watched the video." Carson smirked. "Or while taking the quiz."

"Well paying attention has never been one of Spencer's strong suits." Rodger said somberly.  Except when came video games. Not school, not his wife, not his kids, not any job he had but videos always have his complete and undivided guy attention. He then sighed as he thought about his oldest son and lack of responsibility or ambition. "Chris' sister is here." He said pushing away his frustration with Spencer. "She is waiting for you in the smaller conference room."

"Okay." Roger then saw the look of uncertainty in his eyes.

"You okay."

"Yes, sir." He said unconvincingly. "No, sir."

"What's wrong?"

"Are you sure I am doing the right thing."

"Of course." Rodger said without any hesitation. "They tortured you and your brothers. They need to be punished."

"I know." Carson said. "But I can't help but fear that God is going to punish me for turning them in."

"God is not going to punish you." Rodger said dismissively.

Doubt filled the boys face. "Are you sure."

"Yes, I'm sure." Rodger said confidently.

"I wish I was." Carson's stomach began to twist into one large knot. "What about honoring your father and mother."  He began to wring his hands. "I mean moving out of their house was one thing."  He said. "Getting them arrested seems like a major violation of the fifth commandment."

"Honoring your father and mother does not mean you allow them to get away with feeding you to a sadist who took advantage of you. Who will continue to take advantage of you sixteen year old brother if he is not stopped. To let them get away with years of psychology torture they inflicted on you and your brothers." Rodger vigorously shook his head. I don't believe that is what God intended when He gave Noah that commandment."

Carson looked at him in amusement. "Moses."

Rodger blinked in confusion. "I'm sorry."

"Moses was the one given the ten commandments." Carson said. "Noah built the ark."

"That's right." It's been awhile since I went to Sunday school. And when I did was not a very good student much to my mother's dissatisfaction.

Roger then scratched his behind his right ear as he said "I don't believe God is going to be angry at you for doing this. I think He would be more angry at them for what they put you through, for what they allowed Gaines to do you. So don't fear some divine retribution for doing the right thing and believe me it is the right thing."
