Frustration built up inside of Christine as she negotiated through the crowd of students as they made their way to first period. Get out of my way she thought as she shot a couple of freshman girls a scathing look which sent them scurrying to the side. She shot them one more dirty look as she passed them and then continued her way down the hall.
Freshmen are the dumbest things to ever walk the Earth Christine mused.
"Hi Christine." A girl with brown hair and eyes said.
Christine did not reply. She shot her a dirty look telling her to leave her alone and the sixteen year old obeyed.
"Well someone has taken her bitchy pills this morning." Forest said to the girl.
"A double dose apparently." Alva Monroe said as she watched her storm down the hall. "What is her problem?"
"You mean besides her lousy choice in boyfriends?" Forest replied.
Alva let out a snort as she said "Yeah she really scrapped the bottom of the barrel there." Christine then turned a corner into an adjoining hall. "I don't know what in the world she sees in Parker Cole."
"I do." Forest then spotted Parker in the hallway walking with Jakeem. Their eyes met, Forest leered at him causing him to look away and shudder. A satisfied smile spread across his face. "He's a spineless, wimp." Forest told her. "Easy to control, to dominate."
"He is a submissive little thing isn't he." She said in disgust.
"Yes he is." Forest said. "She snaps her fingers and he comes running like a little puppy with his tail between his legs."
"Pathetic."
"That he is." Forest said. "But I saw her being really chummy with Wesley before school so she might have a new puppy lead around."
Her interest piqued she asked "Just how chummy?"
"Let's just say before they got out of the car she had his gear shift tightly in her grasp."
"That little slut." Alva said.
"Nothing little about her." Forest then said and Alva let out a chuckle. "Let's keep that between you and me though. I don't want to cause a trouble between them."
"My lips are sealed." She said.
Sure they are Forest thought with a grin. Sure they are.
Christine walked to the school office wondering why she called been called. Probably for something stupid. I probably looked at a prefect the wrong way and they went whining to the dean of girls. Big babies all of them.
Christine walked into the office ready to be lectured by the dean girls. Her eyes widened when she saw who was waiting in the office. "Mom?" She said in surprise. "What are you doing here?" Her face became a mask of hatred and disdain as she spoke.
"I wanted to make sure that you were okay." Melinda said.
"Of course I'm okay." She snapped. "Why wouldn't I be okay?" She said with furrowed brow.
"Because your brother told me that he kicked you of out of the car and abandoned you on the side of the road." Melinda replied. "I wanted to make sure you made it to school safely."
Christine's nose twitched at the mention of her brother. She still could not believe he did that. The word jerk went through her mind.
"Well I'm fine." Christine said sharply annoyed that she drove out to the song and was bothering her with this. "Wesley saw me on the side of the road and gave me a ride."
