CHAPTER FOUR: THE FLAG-SMASHERS
MAGGIE LANDED TO THE GROUND ON HER TWO FEET.
Bucky, however, had a harsher landing. He was laying on the ground on his back when Maggie flew down beside him. The green telekinetic energy disappeared from her hands and she looked down at her husband with a concerned expression.
"Honey, are you okay?" Maggie asked.
"Yeah," Bucky groaned out as Redwing was in front of him. "I'm okay."
"I have all of that on camera. You know that right?" Sam asked through Redwing.
"Get out of my face, Sam, or I'll break it," he hissed at Redwing, making it back up.
"Ok, head North. Both of you, come on."
Maggie helped Bucky to his feet and started following Redwing towards Sam's location. Redwing led them to a large warehouse in the middle of the forest. Bucky walked inside first, making sure it was safe before Maggie would go through. Together, they wandered through the rooms until they found where Sam was standing. Then, all of a sudden, Redwing flew in between the couple. Bucky swung his vibranium arm at the drone while Maggie summoned green mist in her hands, ready to shoot it down.
"Oh ho ho. Don't hit him," Sam chuckled.
"Do that again, and I will destroy it," Maggie threatened to Sam.
"Leave him alone, Maggie."
Maggie and Bucky walked over to where Sam was, who was looking at the screen on his wrists. The caster looked over, seeing what Sam was looking at while her husband stood beside her and in front of Sam. All he did was glare in the distance.
"Your husband's doing the staring thing again," Sam said, informing both of them before Bucky gave him an annoyed looked. "They're in there." Sam nodded to the hall beside them, sending in Redwing to get heat signatures.
"Where's the guy?" Maggie asked.
"I don't know. I think they're smuggling weapons though."
"Well, I think you could be right," Bucky agreed with Sam. "But there's only one way to find. I see a clear path. I say we take it." he continued as he walked away.
Maggie followed after him before Sam grabbed Bucky from the arm and held him back.
"We're not assassins," Sam told the couple, though they continued walking. "Hey, come on, guys. I'm just messing with you! Come back!"
"Scared, Samuel?" Maggie joked, calling him by his full name.
Bucky continued to walk the path, making sure his wife stayed behind him. Balls of green mist formed in her hands, preparing in case of a sudden fight.
"Look at you two. Sneaky around together, all stealthy, as couples do," Sam joked through the comm. "A little time in Wakanda and you two come White Panther and White Cheetah."
"It's actually White Wolf and Ashen Demon," Bucky corrected, standing beside Maggie as she smiled.
"Huh?"
"We'll tell you later," Maggie said for her and Bucky.
The couple continued walking until they hid behind a storage shelf and watched the people. All of them were wearing masks, hiding their identities.
