CHAPTER NINETEEN: SHOCKING IDENTITY

TONY STARK'S CABIN

NEW YORK

TALIA BARNES WAS IN THE STARK'S FRONT YARD.

She was playing in the treehouse with Morgan, who other than Charlie , had been declared her best friend. Of course there was also a boy Emma knew from school. A boy little older than her named Miguel O'Hara.

Ever since they were born, the girls were inseparable. During those five years of the Blip, there were countless plays dates and sleepovers. Most of them were at the cabin but on occasion were at the compound since that was where Emma and her mom lived wth Auntie Nat.

Emma had been at her uncle Tony's for a couple days while her parents were on a mission with uncle Sam. Even though she enjoyed hanging out with Morgan and listening to uncle Tony's air guitar skills, the little girl was missing her parents. She missed her mother reading her stories at bedtime and missed doing pull ups using her father's vibranium arm. Missed how he'd hold her in the air and move her around like an airplane.

Even though she missed them, she was a smart kid and knew that their jobs were going to take awhile. Emma didn't complain about how much they had gone away because she knew that she was loved. That no matter how long they were gone that still spent a lot of time together.

"Come on, Em! We've got to stop the pirates," Morgan told her, pointing her fake sword out the tree house window. "Arghhhhh, they're attacking! Prepare the canons!"

"Aye aye, Captain!" Emma nodded before she pretending to load of canons.

"Hey, look!"

Emma went over to Morgan and looked out the window, watching a familiar car pull into the driveway. It took a second for Emma to remember who's car it was and she grew excited. Maggie and Bucky got out of the car after parking, walking to the house. The girls carefully climbed down the treehouse. Once Emma touched the ground, she went into a full run towards her parents.

"Mommy! Daddy!" She yelled before being swooped up in her mother's arms.

"Hello, my darling," Maggie greeted, happy from the feeling of her child in her arms. She then swarmed Emma's face with kisses, making the girl giggle before Bucky took her.

"Hey, munchkin."

Bucky wrapped his arms around her in a hug. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her small head resting in his shoulder. Bucky softly smiled, kissing her hair as Maggie hugged Morgan.

"Did you girls have fun?" Maggie asked the girls as all for of them walked to the front porch.

"Yeah, it was amazing, mommy!" Emma answered. "It was like one mega sleepover."

"Oh, was it now? What all did you do?"

"Well, we got to make a fort in the living room, got to go the park, went roller skating, and had pizza and burgers and Aunt Pepper's spaghetti. Then Emma sprayed whipped cream in dad's hand and tickled his nose with a feather. It was so funny!"

"Hehe. That's my girl," Bucky laughed, giving Emma a high five.

TWO DAYS HAD PASSED SINCE MAGGIE AND BUCKY PICKED Emma UP FROM TONY'S.

Those two days were half spent with the couple spending as much time as they could with their daughter. The other half composed of Maggie helping Bucky start making true amends with the ones who had done him wrong in Hydra. She supported him through all of it, letting him know how proud she was. Maggie promised Sma she'd keep her own husband straight and she was going to stick to it.
