CHAPTER TEN: HIGH TOWN

SHARON TOOK THE GROUP TO WHERE SHE LIVED IN HIGH TOWN.

Maggie, Bucky, and Sam could tell the differences between there and Low Town. It was a lot nicer looking in High Town and less individuals that looked like common criminals. As they entered Sharon's place, there were amounts of different objects in lit up cases.

"Looks like breaking all those laws is treating you well," Sam commented.

"I thought if I had to hustle, I might as well enjoy the life of a real hustler," Sharon said. "You know how much I'll get for a real Monet?"

"Deactivate your hustler mode. You sell fake Monets."

"Nope, she means real. This gallery is specialized in stolen artwork," Zemo corrected. "Monet. Van Gogh. Classics."

"It's true. You know, half the artwork in museums like the Louvre is fake. Real stuff sits in places lime this," Bucky said.

"Which is why I have no interest in museums," Maggie mumbled.

"Okay, guys, I see what you were doing. You're more worldly than good old Sam," Sam responded, pulling out his phone.

"Yeah. What's Google say?" Bucky asked, making Maggie laugh, waking away as they held hands.

"No shit."

"Come one. You guys need to change," Sharon told the group. "I'm hosting clients in an hour."

The group entered Sharon's actual placed and started getting dressed in different clothes. Luckily enough, Maggie and Sharon wore the same size clothes, thanks to the writer of this story. Of course, Maggie picked out a grey sleeveless crop top, ripped skinny jeans, and small black leather boots. She pulled her hair away from her face into a long ponytail. Sam was getting into his new outfit when Sharon passed by him.

"Much better," Sharon commented.

Maggie came out into the living room then, looking at herself in the mirror. She was happy to be put of that dress and those heels Zemo put her in. The clothes she put on were much more comfortable.

"Looking good for a 99 year old," Maggie said, sitting on the couch beside Bucky.

"A very sexy 99 year old, in my opinion," Bucky added, eyeing his wife up and down.

"Who's husband is a sexy 100 year old."

"Speaking of that, I need to give you back your rings."

Bucky pulled out Maggie's engagement ring and wedding band. He slid both rings onto her ring finger and followed with kissing her hand. The couple gave each a soft, but quick kiss and Maggie made herself comfortable cuddling into hos chest. Bucky's vibranium arm wrapped around her securely, enjoying the feeling of her beside him.

"What's going on Sharon? You don't ever wanna come back home?" Sam asked.

"They'll lock me up if I step foot back in the States. Madripoor doesn't allow extradition," Sharon answered.

"Look, I'm sorry I didn't call, but after the Blip and the chaos, I just..."

"Look, you know the whole hero thing is a joke, right? I mean, the way you gave up that shield. Deep down, you must know it's all hypocrisy."

"He knows. And not so deep down," said Zemo.

"For once, I actually agree with him," Maggie told Bucky, making him lightly laugh.
