POST-CREDIT 2: THE ABERRATION
NINE YEARS PRIOR
HYDRA BASE
INGRID WENT LIMP AS TWO SOLDIERS DRAGGED HER DOWN THE HALL.
Their grip on her arms was painful, but she didn't even wince. It wasn't a new sew sensation of pain since they did it all the time. She learned not to scream and fight anymore because it got her nowhere. Even with her powers, she I wasn't a match in strength against them. So, Ingrid allowed them to drag her out of her little padded cell. And everytime they did so, she remembered the day she was taken by her papa.
Ingrid wasn't from Sokovia, but from a Hydra base in Siberia. It was there that she lived since the moment she was born. She was used as a weapon and they decided she was far to dangerous to train with the Widows. The girl was brought to Sokovia to test out experiments for Baron Strucker. Ever since then, Ingrid had no family or friends. She had no one. The Asset was the closest she had gotten until he disappeared.
Normally when she left the cell, it meant it was time for the next experiment. They were almost an everyday occurrence, testing the limits of her powers until she cried out to stop. Ingrid didn't know that it wasn't going to go like that. Not that time. Instead of taking her to the testing center, the soldiers took her somewhere else.
The soldiers threw Ingrid on the ground, making her release a groan. She rolled over, curling up in a ball and clutching her side. The metal door behind her slammed shut, but Ingrid didn't jump. When she finally got to her feet, she realized that it wasn't the usual testing room she was always taken to.
The room was smaller with a glowing blue light. It caught Ingrid's attention fast, looking at where it was coming from. Across the room rested a scepter on a mantle. On the scepter was a blue gem, causing the colored glow in the room. Ingrid found it's glow alluring that she jumped from sound of a voice over the intercom.
"For our notes, Miss Antonov can you please state your name and confirm your status?" The man asked.
"Ingrid Antonov," she answered, her Russian accent soft hoarse. "Hydra test subject 004."
"Begin experimentation."
As Ingrid stepped forward, the scepter began to shake on it's mantle. Suddenly, the blue gem separated from the scepter. The gem began to float towards the girl, the glow growing brighter the closer it got. It was only inches from Ingrid's face and she stared at it in awe. And when she touched it, something happened.
The blue gem instantly turned yellow, engulfing the girl into its light. She had to look away, closing her eyes as it grew too bright to see anything. But when she looked back, she saw something in the light. It was a woman's silhouette dressed in a long dark blue dress with the same colored armor and headpiece. Though, Ingrid couldn't see the woman's face because of the glowing gold light that slowing became one of blue.
Once the vision ended, Ingrid fell to the floor unconscious and the gem's glow dimmed. Two doctors rushed into the room, kneeling down beside the girl. They believed she was dead, seeing that her body was unmoving. But then, the sound of static caught the doctors attention. They looked up to the monitor, the screen kept showing static images rapidly repeating. The next second, the lights began to violently flicker, freaking out the doctors. And then all once it stopped and the same monitor began to play a television show. The next second, dark blue colored mist surrounded her body. And then...she disappeared.
That was when the child of the Asset and the Prodigy became something more.
