As Seori and Yeji settled into the hut, I couldn't help but notice Jake making his way towards Yeji. The dynamics of the evening seemed to be taking unexpected turns. Seori took a seat next to me, her gaze fixed on the unfolding events.
With a playful smirk, she declared, "Today, you're not making me get babysat by Sunghoon."
I chuckled, knowing Seori's penchant for exploring and touching things like a curious child. "Can't leave you alone here. You might wander off and start touching things, like you always do," I teased, turning to Sunghoon to give him a heads-up.
Before I could convey my intention, Seori lunged at me, her hand covering my mouth. Sunghoon shot us a puzzled look, questioning the sudden interaction.
Curiosity flickered in his eyes as he asked, "What's going on here?"
Seori shot me a look, her eyes silently pleading for me to keep quiet. I couldn't help but smirk beneath her hand. "Nothing, Sunghoon. Just a friendly struggle. We're good," I replied, muffled words escaping from beneath Seori's grasp.
Sunghoon raised an eyebrow, clearly not convinced. "Friendly struggle? Alright, whatever you say," he remarked, shaking his head with a bemused smile.
As Seori released her hold on me, I leaned back, shooting her an amused glance. "You really don't want to get babysat today, huh?"
She rolled her eyes, a playful smirk playing on her lips. "You know me too well, Jungwon. Besides, I can handle myself."
Our banter continued as the evening unfolded, the chatter and laughter of the racing crew providing a backdrop to the unfolding drama.
As the anticipation for the race grew, I busied myself getting ready, donning the safety racing gear that marked the beginning of the adrenaline-fueled night. With my focus on the upcoming event, I approached Sunghoon, who, once again, wasn't participating in the race.
Leaning in, I whispered to him, "Keep an eye on Seori, but don't let her know. You know how curious she can be." Sunghoon nodded in understanding, a sly grin playing on his lips.
Turning to Seori, who was chatting with Yeji inside the hut, I caught her attention. "Hey, Seori," I began, my tone a mix of seriousness and playful warning. "Stay in the hut with Yeji and don't cause any trouble, alright?"
She shot me an amused look. "Trouble? Who, me? Never." Seori winked, feigning innocence.
I smirked, deciding to add a bit of authority. "Seriously, Seori. Just stay put. It can get chaotic out there during the race."
She nodded, a playful pout on her lips. "Fine, fine. But can we at least go outside and watch the race start?"
I considered her request for a moment before relenting with a smirk. "Alright, but stay close, and no wandering off. Deal?"
Seori grinned, accepting the terms. "Deal, Bad Boy Racer."
As Seori and Yeji eagerly ventured outside to witness the spectacle of the race start, I couldn't shake the feeling that the night held more surprises.

Standing at the side with Yeji and Sunghoon, we watched as Jungwon and the other racers prepared for the exhilarating ride ahead. The engines roared to life, creating a symphony of power that resonated through the night. Positioned at the start line, anticipation hung thick in the air.
As the lights changed from red to green, signaling the start, the flag waved, and the cars shot off into the city streets, leaving trails of speed and echoes of adrenaline. We walked back into the hut with Sunghoon, where Yeji and I settled on a couch, eyes fixed on the display capturing the intensity of the race.
