—— Jiyeon
The moment I walked away from Jungwon, my heart was pounding—not from nervousness, but from the thrill of my plan unfolding perfectly. The bewildered and betrayed look on his face had been priceless, and I could already imagine how Seori would react to seeing the kiss. This was going to be a coup de grâce.
I spotted my girls, Jisun, Hyeri, and Minah, gathered near the entrance to the restroom house, trying to look inconspicuous. As soon as they saw me, their faces lit up with anticipation.
"Did you get it?" I asked, a smirk curling my lips.
Hyeri, the best with a camera, gave me a satisfied nod and handed over her phone. "Oh, we got it alright. Crystal clear."
I took the phone and reviewed the photos. There it was, a perfect shot of me with my arms around Jungwon's neck, our lips locked. The angle made it look even more intimate than it had felt. This would definitely do the trick.
"Perfect," I murmured, handing the phone back to Hyeri. "Now, let’s send this to our dear Seori."
Minah laughed, twirling a strand of her hair. "She's going to flip when she sees this."
"Exactly," I said, feeling the rush of power. "This will push her over the edge. She'll have no choice but to end things with Jungwon for good."
Hyeri hesitated, her excitement dimming slightly. "Do you really think this is the right way to go about it, Jiyeon? I mean, what if it backfires?"
I shot her a sharp look. "It won't backfire. Trust me. Jungwon is already doubting her because of that other picture. This will just be the final nail in the coffin."
Minah chimed in, "Yeah, and besides, Jiyeon knows what she's doing. This will be the end of Seori and Jungwon, and maybe then Jungwon will realize he deserves better."
Hyeri still looked unsure but didn’t argue further. She unlocked her phone and composed a message to Seori, attaching the picture. I watched over her shoulder, making sure everything was perfect.
"Dear Seori," she typed, "Thought you should know what your beloved Jungwon has been up to. Looks like he's not as faithful as you think. -A concerned friend."
"Send it," I commanded, my voice firm.
Hyeri pressed the send button, and we all watched as the message was delivered. Now, it was just a matter of time.
"Let's get out of here before anyone starts asking questions," I suggested, leading the way back to our spot near the racing track.
As we walked, Minah asked, "So, what's your next move?"
I considered it for a moment. "I’ll just sit back and watch. Jungwon will probably come running to me once Seori breaks up with him. If not, we’ll figure out something else. But this picture is going to do most of the work for us."
The adrenaline of manipulation coursed through my veins. I couldn’t wait to see how this would all play out. I envisioned Seori's face crumpling in despair, her resolve breaking as she realized the futility of holding onto a relationship built on lies and betrayal.
We made our way to our usual hangout spot by the track, where a few more of our friends were lounging around, waiting for the next race. They greeted us with curiosity, sensing that something was up.
"What's going on?" one of them asked, looking at me expectantly.
"Just a little plan to set things right," I said cryptically, not wanting to spill too many details. "You'll see soon enough."
