—— Seori

The next morning, I found myself anxiously waiting in the living room, a small bag containing essentials by my side. The anticipation of spending the weekend with Jungwon at his apartment filled me with a mix of excitement and nervousness. As I fidgeted with the strap of my bag, my mom bustled around in the kitchen, her voice carrying over as she shared her usual lectures and rules.

"Seori, I want you to be careful, okay?" she reminded me, her tone a blend of concern and caution. "And make sure you keep your phone on, so I can reach you anytime."

I nodded, accustomed to these maternal warnings that seemed to accompany any mention of Jungwon. "I know, Mom," I reassured her, offering a small smile.

She continued, her expressions shifting between worry and sternness. "And remember, he's older, Seori. I trust you, but you need to be aware of the age difference."

I sighed internally, understanding that my mom's concern stemmed from a place of love and protection. "I'll be careful, Mom. Jungwon is a good person, and we're just going to spend some time together."

Despite my reassurances, my mom persisted with a final set of instructions. "And make sure he brings you home before 8 PM on Sunday. No excuses, okay?"

I nodded again, knowing that this condition had been part of the agreement. "I promise, Mom. We'll be back in time."

With a satisfied nod, she finally seemed to relent. "Alright, just have a good time, but stay safe. I love you."

"I love you too, Mom," I replied, genuinely grateful for her concern. As I stood there, ready for the weekend adventure, I couldn't help but appreciate the delicate balance between independence and parental guidance.

Just then, the sound of a car pulling up outside caught my attention, and I glanced towards the window to see Jungwon waiting in his car. The sight of him brought a smile to my face, and with a quick hug and a final wave to my mom, I headed out, ready to embark on a weekend filled with shared moments and stolen kisses in the haven of Jungwon's apartment.

As I stepped out of the house, the crisp morning air greeted me, infusing me with a sense of anticipation for the weekend ahead. Making my way to Jungwon's car, I couldn't contain the excitement bubbling within me, eager to escape into our own little world for a few days.

"Hey," Jungwon greeted me with a warm smile as I slid into the passenger seat. His presence beside me sparked a rush of butterflies in my stomach, a familiar sensation that never failed to accompany our time together.

"Hi," I replied, returning his smile as he started the car and pulled away from the curb. The familiar hum of the engine surrounded us, cocooning us in a sense of familiarity and comfort.

As we drove, the anticipation of the weekend adventure hung thick in the air, our conversation light and filled with laughter. Jungwon's easygoing demeanor put me at ease, and soon, any lingering nerves melted away, replaced by a sense of excitement for the days ahead.

"So, what do you want to do first when we get to my apartment?" Jungwon asked, casting a sideways glance in my direction.

I pondered his question for a moment, considering the possibilities. "Hmm, maybe we could order some takeout and just relax for a bit," I suggested, the thought of unwinding in Jungwon's company appealing to me more than anything.

"Sounds perfect," he agreed, his smile widening. "We can cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie or something."

The image of us snuggled together on the couch brought a flush of warmth to my cheeks, and I nodded eagerly. "I'd like that," I admitted, feeling a sense of contentment settle over me at the thought of spending uninterrupted time with Jungwon.
