—— Jungwon

Jake's question caught me off guard, his blunt inquiry slicing through the air like a sharp blade. "So, Jungwon, have you kissed Seori yet?"

Suppressing a smirk, I responded with a hint of sarcasm, "Well, Jake, Seori, and I are just starting to get close, so kissing is still a bit far off for now."

Jake's eyebrows shot up in surprise, his expression a mix of disbelief and amusement. "Taking it slow, huh? That's not like you, Jungwon. I mean, I already kissed Yeji," he remarked with a playful grin, throwing a glance in Yeji's direction.

Yeji, her cheeks flushing a delicate shade of pink, swatted Jake's arm. "Shut up, Jake," she muttered, trying to mask her embarrassment.

Unbeknownst to us, Seori overheard the conversation from the kitchen where she was enjoying her ramen with Niki. Her gasp of surprise echoed through the room, drawing our attention.

"Seori, what's wrong?" Yeji called out, concern lacing her voice.

Seori emerged from the kitchen, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Yeji, why didn't you tell me you and Jake had already kissed? I thought best friends shared everything."

Yeji's eyes widened in realization, and she shot me a playful glare before turning her attention back to Seori. "It's not a big deal, Seori. Just forget Jake's nonsense."

I couldn't help but chuckle at the playful banter between the girls. Seori's candid curiosity and Yeji's embarrassed reaction added a light-hearted touch to the evening, reminding me of the simple joys found in friendship.

Seori, with a playful scolding tone, continued to tease Yeji about not revealing the kissing incident with Jake. Pointing her finger at Yeji like a strict mom, Seori adopted a role reversal that amused everyone in the room. It was a rare sight since Seori was usually the more carefree and immature one between the two.

Unable to contain my amusement, I decided to intervene, saving Yeji from Seori's playful scolding. With a mischievous smile, I called Seori over, gesturing with my fingers for her to come to me. She looked at me with a confused expression before obediently walking over.

As Seori approached, I couldn't help but find her adorable. I took her hand, and together, we ascended the stairs leading to the private rooms of the racing group. Each member had their own space, a personal haven amidst the vibrant chaos of the racing house.

Before entering the room, Seori halted, remembering her bag. She quickly darted back downstairs to retrieve it, and I waited at the top of the stairs, amused by her hurried enthusiasm. When she returned, we entered my room, closing the door behind us.

The room was a reflection of my personality — a blend of rugged charm and a touch of rebellion. Posters of favorite cars adorned the walls, and a faint scent of motor oil lingered in the air. Seori, glancing around, seemed intrigued by the environment.

"So, what's the secret mission, Jungwon?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

I chuckled, pulling her closer. "No secret mission, Seori. Just wanted a moment away from the chaos downstairs."

Seori's playful demeanor softened, and she leaned against the wall, looking up at me. "I guess it's a nice escape. So, what do you want to do?"

I grinned, realizing the simplicity of the moment. "How about we just relax and enjoy some quiet time? Away from the teasing and the noise."

Seori nodded, a contented smile gracing her lips. As we settled into the quietude of the room, I couldn't help but feel a sense of connection with her, an unspoken understanding that transcended the playful banter and the racing thrills.

—— Seori

With a playful grin, I leaped onto the bed, seizing Jungwon's wrist and tugging him along. However, he seemed caught off guard, stumbling slightly before landing on top of me. As our eyes met, time seemed to stand still, and I found myself unable to look away, despite the blush creeping onto my cheeks.

In that moment, I couldn't help but wonder if this would be our first kiss – my first kiss too. But I wasn't ready for that, and the thought of it sent a flurry of nervous thoughts swirling in my mind. I didn't even know how to kiss, let alone with Jungwon, the boy who had become so much more than just a friend.

Lost in my thoughts, I failed to notice Jungwon's laughter until he spoke up, breaking the spell. "What are you thinking about, Seori?" he asked, amusement dancing in his eyes.

I blinked, realizing that I had been lost in my own world. "Oh, um, nothing really," I stammered, my cheeks burning with embarrassment.

Jungwon chuckled, the sound warm and comforting. Slowly, he shifted his weight, moving off of me and sitting beside me on the bed. Despite the momentary awkwardness, there was a sense of ease between us, a silent understanding that transcended words.

As I glanced at Jungwon, I couldn't help but feel grateful for his presence – for the way he made me laugh, for the way he challenged me to step out of my comfort zone, and for the way he accepted me for who I was. In that moment, I realized just how much he meant to me.

With a shy smile, I turned to Jungwon, hoping to convey the depth of my gratitude. "Thanks for this, Jungwon. It means a lot to me," I murmured, my voice barely above a whisper.

Jungwon's expression softened, and he reached out to gently squeeze my hand. "Anytime, Seori. You know I've always got your back," he replied, his voice filled with sincerity.

In that quiet moment, as we sat side by side on the bed, I felt a sense of peace wash over me. Despite the uncertainties and the challenges that lay ahead, I knew that as long as Jungwon was by my side, I would be okay.

After our moment on the bed, I felt a surge of inspiration. I reached for my bag, fingers trembling with anticipation as I extracted our journal. Flipping to a fresh page, I began to write, pouring my heart onto the paper as I detailed my hopes and dreams for that elusive first kiss with Jungwon.

In neat, flowing script, I penned my thoughts:

Journal Entry - March 22nd

Today, as I lay on the bed with Jungwon, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like to share my first kiss with him. It's a moment I've dreamed of, a moment filled with warmth and tenderness, a moment that I hope will be magical.

I envision us standing beneath the starry sky, surrounded by the soft glow of twinkling lights. The air is filled with the faint scent of flowers, and the gentle rustle of leaves adds to the enchantment of the moment. And there, in that serene setting, Jungwon leans in, his touch as gentle as a whisper, his lips meeting mine in a kiss that ignites a spark within me.

It's a kiss filled with love and longing, a kiss that speaks volumes without a single word. And as we share that tender moment, time seems to stand still, the world fading away until there is only us – two souls bound together by an unbreakable bond.

I paused, my heart pounding with emotion as I re-read my words. It was a vision, a dream woven from the threads of my deepest desires. And though it felt like a fantasy, I couldn't help but hope that one day, it would become a reality.

Satisfied with my entry, I closed the journal and handed it to Jungwon. He watched me with a curious expression as I placed the journal into his hands, a silent offering of my innermost thoughts and feelings.

"This is for inspiration," I explained softly, meeting his gaze with a shy smile. "In case you want to make it special."

I hesitated for a moment before adding, "And if you want, you can write an entry too. But it doesn't have to be right now."

As I spoke, I felt a sense of vulnerability wash over me. It was a daring move, to share such intimate thoughts with Jungwon. But in that moment, I trusted him completely, knowing that he would cherish my words as much as I cherished his presence in my life.

With a gentle nod, I watched as Jungwon accepted the journal, his fingers tracing the embossed cover with a tender reverence. And as he held it in his hands, I couldn't help but wonder what thoughts were swirling in his mind – thoughts that, perhaps, mirrored my own in their depth and complexity.
