—— Seori

The Monday morning sun filtered through the windows as Yeji and I made our way down the crowded hallway towards our lockers. I felt a flutter of excitement mixed with apprehension as I reached for the handle of my locker, knowing that another love letter awaited me inside.

Sure enough, as I opened the locker door, there it was - a neatly folded piece of paper, adorned with delicate handwriting and a small heart drawn in the corner. I sighed, feeling a mix of annoyance and curiosity as I carefully unfolded the letter.

"Another one?" Yeji asked, peering over my shoulder.

I nodded, scanning the contents of the letter quickly before tucking it into my bag. "Yep. It's getting ridiculous."

Before we could discuss it further, Jiyeon and her cronies approached, their mocking laughter echoing in the hallway. I braced myself, knowing what was coming next.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't Seori, the love letter queen," Jiyeon sneered, her cronies snickering behind her.

I rolled my eyes, refusing to let her get to me. "What do you want, Jiyeon?"

"Oh, nothing much," she replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Just wondering how long you're going to keep playing Jungwon."

I clenched my fists, trying to keep my temper in check. "That's none of your business, Jiyeon."

She smirked, stepping closer until she was practically invading my personal space. "Oh, but it is, Seori. Because if you're just using him to boost your popularity, I'm going to make sure everyone knows about it."

I gritted my teeth, feeling the familiar surge of anger and frustration. "You don't know anything about me or Jungwon. Stay out of it."

With that, I slammed my locker shut and stormed off towards my first class, Yeji trailing behind me. The encounter with Jiyeon had left me seething, but I knew I had to focus on getting through the day.

In the classroom, I tried to put Jiyeon's words out of my mind as I listened to the teacher's lecture. But as soon as the bell rang for lunch, Daejin approached me, his expression unreadable.

"Hey, Seori," he said, falling into step beside me. "Can we talk about our history project? I was thinking we could work on it together after school today."

I hesitated, feeling a sense of unease wash over me. Daejin had always been friendly, but there was something about the way he was acting that set off alarm bells in my mind.

"Sure, Daejin," I replied cautiously. "That sounds like a plan."

As we sat down in the library later that day, I couldn't shake the feeling of suspicion that lingered in the air. Daejin seemed oddly calm and composed, his usual nervous energy nowhere to be found.

"So, Seori," he began, his tone casual. "Have you figured out who's been leaving you those love letters?"

I frowned, taken aback by his question. "No, not yet. Why do you ask?"

He shrugged, a nonchalant expression on his face. "Just curious, I guess. And what about Jungwon? You two seem pretty close these days."

I narrowed my eyes, sensing that there was more to his questions than met the eye. "What's with all the questions, Daejin? Did Jiyeon put you up to this?"

Daejin's eyes widened in surprise, and for a moment, he looked caught off guard. But then he quickly recovered, shaking his head. "No, of course not. I'm just interested, that's all."
