Where did things go wrong? Was it really a mistake to join the colony? After everything I have done to be better for Derek and my children, at the end of the night they are the ones that are saving me. What kind of parent am I? Joey was so tall and brave now, unlike when he was just a little toddler. He cut through the crowd of people around us like a fire melting butter, effortlessly. We made it to the van in record time, but Jewels was not behind us. "She was just here!" Joey paced until the sounds of her screaming found me. "SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! PLEASE!" My mate and I both responded simultaneously. "WHAT'S GOING ON?" I asked now on full alert and her father screamed into the mind link. "The alpha and beta sons!" Jewels cried into the link, "Where are you?" My mate questioned immediately. "The alley." The words were barely heard due to an odd static that followed. I tried to call to her through the mind link, but she was unresponsive. "Why is she not answering?" My son looked at me was glowing eyes. "My son we must find her but calm your eyes first." He nodded with an apology. Closing his eyes, he took a deep breath then opened his eyes. They were back to normal now. "Now, we have to search every alley from here to where we left your father. She has to be in at least one of them. "This is your alpha speaking." My mate's voice rang in my ears and judging from the look on the pack members' faces that were around us, he was speaking to everyone. "This is a command, capture every pack alpha and beta son. Bring them to the center of the town. If asked, their crime is offending our pack and taking the alphas daughter. Bring those criminals to me and search every alley you cross for Jewels."

"Joey, you come with me to find Jewel. We can let the pack capture the boys." He nodded and followed me as we tried to push our way through the crowd of people. The first alley we checked was empty. There was no sign that she was ever there, so we kept looking. I started to panic after we checked the tenth alley and still did not find her. The crowd of panicking wolves thinned out until all that was left was our pack and a few screaming boys by the time we entered the sixteenth alley. In the alley we found her scent mixed with many others. Rage consumed me. I let out a violent scream at the sight in front of me. "Bring the criminals to the alley next to the bakery." I commanded my mate within minutes I could hear the pounding of running feet. I held Joey's arm, restricting him from entering the alley until the pack arrived with my mate and the boys they captured. "What the hell is this?" Derek growled through clenched teeth over the crying boys that stood behind us. "I promise it wasn't us!" One cried. "We did not want to do it! It was all Gavin's plan! Please believe us!" Another cried, confessing they were also a part of it. My daughter's dress was ripped to shreds and covered in blood. Her sandals were on opposite sides of the alley. Her bra and panties were also torn. There was a needle found not too far from the torn clothes but what really stood out was finding that boy, Gavin, unconscious with his britches down. "It was him!" The crowd around us dropped to their knees, praying but I was ready for blood. "My father is on his way here, so you better let us go!" I turned towards the boy, but my mate was a step ahead of me. He grabbed the boy by his arms and held him in the air. "I still have time to rip the arms off of each and every one of you boys." Derek growled and the boy started to scream. "I haven't done anything to you yet so save your voice maggot." The command was strong, and the boy obeyed. The sound of approaching feet caught my ears. "Here they come." Joey said. His fists were clenched, and he had yet to take his eyes off of the scene in front of us. "WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?" Perfect, it was Alpha Sid that led the pack of angry alphas and betas. "You should ask your children before I execute them." Derek growled and the alpha growled back at him, so I stepped up to him.
