"I am going to the gym, I'll call you once I am back " , I messaged Diya.

We had decided to call to discuss about all the events, shopping and preparations that had to be done for Meera's wedding. Her mom and dad had given us the responsibilities for choosing the gifts and of all the sangeet preparations. And of course, we happily obliged. Afterall, it was our bestfriend's wedding.

Since the wedding was just a month away, I had decided to bring myself back into shape. So I had joined a gym near my house and today was my second day . I wasn't exactly thin but not too fat either. I had always been insecure about my body . My past haunting me to take care of my shape.

I walked to the gym as it would hardly take 20 minutes to reach. As I reached the gym, I went into the ladies locker room. I removed by jacket which I had worn over by pink tank top and kept it inside my bag and placed it in one of the lockers.

My trainer was absent today but he had informed be about all the exercises and had taught me how the equipments and machines worked. I started with some light warmup. While I was exercising, I suddenly felt like someone was looking at me. All girls have this superpower where they can sense people staring at them.

There were only a few people in the gym so it was easier to spot them. I looked in the mirror before me and saw Veer, wearing a black tank top and black shorts, doing Pull ups .

Our gazes met. With each rep, his muscles strained as he lifted his body weight, his arms working in perfect harmony with his back and core. His chest expanded as he pulled himself higher. As he reached the top, he paused for a moment, holding himself in place before slowly lowering himself back down. He repeated this motion several times , all this while not breaking an eye contact with me. The scene was too hot to handle , not gonna lie.

Finally, after a series of grueling pull-ups, Veer released his grip and dropped to the ground which finally made me break our eye contact. I hadn't realized when I had stopped exercising, and was just rooted to my spot.

I quickly moved to the treadmill not wanting to look in his direction. After I was done running on the treadmill, I moved towards the exercise bike.

I did look around subtly, but Veer was nowhere to be found so I guessed he had already left. After about 20 minutes, I was done with today's workout.

While I was going towards the locker room, my eyes fell upon the bench press. I was always fascinated by it for some odd reason. So I decided to try it once and walked towards it.

That was the stupidest idea that had ever crossed my mind, because the moment I sat and picked up the weight, I realised that I wouldn't bear the weight of it . My hands started shaking and the weight was about to fall on my chest when two strong arms gripped the weight.

"Are you out of your mind Prishaa!? ", Veer shouted and kept the weight on the stand above.

"I -- just-- ", I stammered getting up. My whole body was shaking with the thought of what would have happened if he hadn't come on time.
