6500 + words long chapter and Mature Content... I guess that's a fair amount of compensation for the delayed updates.

Do not forget to read the note at the end of the chapter!

"Alright, that's everything for today, " I said, glancing at my screen to confirm the last line of code. "Don't forget to push the final commit to the repo. Let's revisit this during Monday sync."

"Got it, Prisha," one of my team members replied. "Enjoy your weekend!"

After a round of goodbyes, I finally felt my shoulders at ease and I found myself immediately closing the task bar and shutting my laptop.

Five hours of my weekend were successfully wasted. Well, not wasted exactly but considering I had the choice of sleeping, reading my books and eating all day, I consider it being wasted.

The floor beneath me was surprisingly comfortable, the rug adding a cozy touch to my impromptu workspace. I let out a dramatic sigh as I shifted on the comfortable rug and stretched my legs against the coffee table.

Dropping my head back against the edge of the couch, I closed my eyes, letting the quiet of the room envelope me.

"You done ?" Veer's voice cut through the stillness, warm and familiar.

I turned my head slightly, seeing him perched on the couch behind me, one arm lazily along the backrest and the other holding his phone.

He had announced his arrival three hours ago and despite me telling him that I have a little work and that he would get bored, he still insisted on giving me company.

He was wearing a white tshirt which fitted his body perfectly, accentuating his muscles and he had paired them with black sweatpants. His messy hair gave him a boyish look, my finger itching to pull on his cheeks.

"Yes finally!" I said, stretching my arms above my head. "You got bored, didn't you?" I asked, closing my eyes once again.

Veer didn't respond immediately but I felt him move, and heard the slight creak of the couch as he slid down on the rug beside me.

"Absolutely not." he responded, "Spent my last three hours looking at cute person turning all bossy at her team. It was entertaining, you know."

My cheeks turned into a light shade of pink hearing his remark.

"I hate to be bossy. But if I don't behave that way, then people just keep pushing their responsibilities on me, asking me to do their part. So being bossy comes with the job." I educated him like he was not the 'CEO', 'The boss' of a millionaire company.
