Veer paced back and forth in his cabin, the city skyline stretching behind him. His usually composed demeanor crumbled under a surge of frustration. Files, pages, financial statements were scattered all across his desk.
"How could this happen ? How did our construction plan get leaked to the Budding Constructions? ", he demanded, glaring at his team assembled before him. Budding Constructions was a rival company who were well known for bagging some projects, mostly due to some foul play.
"Sir, it has to be someone from our own company who has leaked our private documents. ", the head manager suggested , his voice trembling.
"Or someone would have hacked into your systems ", Sahil, who was sitting on the couch, said.
"I don't need excuses now! I need solutions ", Veer shouted at his manager.
The senior managers exchanged nervous glances at each other. The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension, and Veer's anger was palpable. Veer had always been a fair but demanding leader, and today, his patience had worn thin. All of them looked at Sahil, hoping he could calm their Boss. Little did they know, nobody could handle his anger. This was the first time they had seen him this much frustrated.
"Relax Veer. I will look if anyone had hacked into your computer systems and all of y'all look at what all documents have been misplaced. ", Sahil commanded.
"Look into this matter immediately. I want it all sorted out today itself ", with that, Veer dismissed the meeting and the team filed out.
While Sahil was about to leave, Veer informed him to not let anybody disturb him.

Five hours.
It had been five hours since I had messaged Veer about us going to visit Meera's boutique but the message wasn't seen by him yet. Any other day , he would have always messaged me within seconds but I had no idea what had happened today.
A thought crossed my mind. Maybe he is ignoring me because of the previous night's conversation. So I decided to go to his office after my working hours were over and check what exactly he is up to.
After working on a project , which was in the last phase of the software development cycle, I finally left for Veer's office in the evening. His office had been shifted to a new location so I had to put on the map for directions. It took me about twenty minutes to reach there, navigating through the map, stopping at regular intervals to check if I was following the right route.
When I turned off the engine of my scooty and removed my helmet, my eyes were immediately drawn to the impressive office building before me. The structure was a sleek, modern high-rise.The glass panels glistened in the sunlight, creating a dazzling display of light and shadows.
