"I thought you hated hugs" , I voiced out as he wrapped his arms ever so gently around me.
"I still do, but hugs from you are an exception", he pulled me closer, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips.
Intrigued, I slightly tilted my head...

The events of the day had taken their toll, leaving me drained and irritable. As I followed Prisha out of the building, the cool evening air felt like a balm to my frayed nerves. I wasn't expecting her to show up at my office, but I was beyond grateful that she did.
She stopped as we reached where her scooty was parked and so did I.
"Wait. Are we going on your scooty ? ", I asked as she wore the scarf.
"Yep. ", she said, fastening her helmet.
"You are riding ? ", I stared between her and her scooty.
"Who else ? Hop on. ", she replied.
"Okay. This is new for me ", I admitted, climbing on behind her and feeling more than a little out of my element.
"Hold on tight, Mr.Ladoo ", she teased, revving the engine.
As we took off, weaving through the evening traffic, I tightened my grip around her waist. As she dodged every bump and pothole, my heart raced frantically. This was not at all my usual mode of transport.
"Are you sure you know how to drive this thing ? ", I yelled over the noise, trying to sound more confident than I felt.
"Ya ya trust me. I am a pro ", she called out, clearly amused.
"Heyy watch out for that taxi ! ", I shouted, gripping her waist tighter as she swerved to avoid it.
"I can see it ! Just calm down. You will make me lose my balance ", the irritation in her tone was evident.
"Lose your balance! What ?! ", I practically screeched , as I now gripped the handlebars.
"Just shut up and let me drive ! ", she snapped and I quickly removed my hand.
The city seemed to blur around us as Prisha navigated the streets with ease. I, on the other hand, was clinging on for dear life, my mind conjuring all sorts of scenarios where we could end up sprawled on the pavement. God ! I wanted to live more.
After what felt like an eternity, Prisha finally came to a stop. I looked around to see the sprawling expanse of the Marine Drive stretching out before us.
"Marine Drive ? " ,I exclaimed. This was totally unexpected. I had expected her to take me to a cafe or something.
"Yup. Surprise !! ", she giggled. "Let me park the scooty first ", she continued.
Prisha parked the scooty at a distance , and I practically stumbled off, my legs feeling like jelly.
"Wow I forgot how beautiful this place is ", I said , as we made our way towards the promenade. It had been a while since I took a stroll here. The iconic stretch of road, lined with palm trees and dotted with street vendors, was alive with people enjoying the evening. The sound of waves crashing against the shore provided a soothing backdrop.
