It was a working day but Prisha had come home earlier, at around 4 pm itself as she had completed all her work for the day. As usual, the three best friends were on a call with Meera telling them how Harsh's parents very elated hearing about their relationship and how warmly they welcomed her into their family.
" And guys our parents met over a video call and fixed our wedding date !!! ", Meera exclaimed.
"OH MY GOD !!!!!! YAYYYYY , When is itttt ", Prisha and Diya literally screamed through the call. Their bestie was getting married.
"Exactly 1 month from today ", she said.
"That's awesomee broo , Congratulations ! ", Prisha said.
"Congratulations to you and Harsh !! ", Diya too congratulated.
Meera thanked them and explained how she wants it to be a destination wedding near a beach and how she plans on calling only few of her relatives and friends.
"Umm ,you both remember right that next week we are having our school friend group's get-together so I was thinking of inviting them too to my wedding... y'all don't have any problem right", she said.
In their highschool, they had a huge friend group and they were still pretty close with some of them, whom they were meeting the next week.
"Why would we, as you wish babe ", Diya replied.
"Ya ya go ahead", Prisha too assured.
Whilst they were on the call, Prisha's doorbell rang.
"Guys, someone's there at the door, I'll talk to y'all later ", she disconnected the call.
She opened the door to find an elderly lady who looked like she belonged to a rich family, standing in front of her.
"Ji Kon chahiye apko ? ", Prisha asked softly.
(Who do you want to meet ?)
"Beta woh me mere pote se milne aayi thi par woh ghar par nahi hai shayad. Aur mere phone ki battery dead hai. Kya tumhara phone mil sakta hai call karne ke liye . ", the old lady asked.
("I had come to meet my grandson but I guess he is not at home and my phone is dead ... Can I call him using your phone ?")
"Sure mam, aap andar aa jaiye pehle please", she requested .
("Sure mam, please come inside first")
The old lady came in and sat on the sofa. Closing the door , Prisha asked her, "Konse floor pe rehta hai aapka pota ".
("Which floor does your grandson live on")
"Tumhare saamne hi beta ", the old lady said.
("Right opposite to you")
"Woh khadooss apka pota hai", she blurted out and regretted it immediately.
("That rudy is your grandson?")
"I am so sorry, I didn't mean to say that", Prisha apologized.
"Sahi toh kaha tumne, khadooss hi hai mera Veer", the lady chuckled saying this. Hearing this Prisha too chuckled. She gave the lady her phone and came back from the kitchen with a glass of water.
("You said the right thing dear, my Veer is rude only ")
"Veer Jaldi aa ab , me ....", she gestured to Prisha to tell her name, "Prisha ke ghar me hu " , saying that she hung up. Prisha forwarded the glass of water to the lady.
