बनके मुसीबत पीछे पड़ी है
ये कॉमेडी है या ट्रेजेडी है
ना होना था क्यूँ हो गया
लोचा-ए-उल्फ़त हो गया

Veer wasn't paying attention to the clients sitting in front of him. Because whenever Prisha was in his close proximity, all the surrounding chatter would fade away. He wanted to stay away from her, it was better if he did, his past experience still haunting him. He knew that she held an effect on him she shouldn't have but he just used to dismiss it thinking that her behavior is what intrigued him.

Seeing her being all sunshiny in front of her friends and being all grumpy only infront him always made him want to annoy her more.

But today, seeing her sitting opposite a guy made him restless for some odd reason. And when she placed her hands on his, which seemed like her consoling him, made him low key jealous.

A small smile crept on his face when he saw her laughing at something that the guy said while they were leaving . He hated how the world could make her laugh and the only expression that she showed in front of him was that of annoyance and irritation.

"Sir?", his assistant Vikas's voice brought him out of his thoughts.

"Ya, tell me "

"Mr.Sehgal's PA is asking for the dates for the next meeting."

"We can schedule it for Tuesday next week", he spoke directly to Mr.Sehgal's PA.

"Sure , I will inform our Sir and he will personally come to your Office to attend the meeting . We will take your leave now . Thank you", saying this Mr.Sehgal's PA and a few of his team members left.

Veer and his assistant too left the hotel while Veer mentally made a note to ask his assistant to send the contract files and details to his cabin.

Next Day In Veer's Cabin

"Tu jaldi aa ye Sahil mujhe pagal kar dega " ,Veer said.

Harsh had called Veer after a long time.

(Come sooner, this Sahil is driving me crazy)

"Bas Friday ko aa hi raha hu yaar, phir saath me dekh lenge saale ko", Harsh chuckled.

(I am coming this Friday, then let's deal with him together)

"Mujhe sunai de raha hai !!", Sahil said.

(I can hear you!!)

"And why do you think I have put the call on speaker ", Veer retorted.

"Yaarrr!", Sahil whinned, "I am leaving Bye!", saying that he left.

"He can be such a baby sometimes ", Harsh said.

"All the time ", Veer deadpanned.

"Lunch break me tere office me ane ki iski aadat kab jaegi bhagwaan jane "

(God knows when he will come out of his habit of visiting your office during lunch.)

"Kabhi nahi "

(Never)

"Will you stop talking in one word for god's sake and tell me why you had called me? "

"You have called me."

"Oh yaa ", Harsh laughed awkwardly.

The people who Veer valued the most after his family were his two idiot best friends. The three were childhood best friends. Though he never really expressed how much they meant for him, Sahil and Harsh both knew that he loved and valued them. After all he was a man of few words.
