50. I love you's

Some things never change, and perhaps that's why they're precious to us.

Siddharth smiled lazily as he woke up with Avneet against him. He grinned when he noticed how he was almost hogging up Avneet's whole body with his arms and legs.

He can't help but press his face closer to the neck of the younger and exhaling softly.

Never in the last few years he would've thought they would end up like this.

After his break up with Avneet, he never in his wildest dreams thought they would be back like this, together, cuddling on a lazy Sunday morning.

But if you were to ask teenage Siddharth, he would give you his best poker face with an increduled look in his eyes and say, 'Of course, we'd be together forever.'

Oh, well, was he wrong, though?

Perhaps wishing on shooting stars wasn't that much of a lie, he thinks now.

All those 11:11 wishes that he and Avneet made by squinting their eyes aggressively shut didn't go in vain, after all.

And all those happy giggles Avneet let out before chanting their names and blowing on those dandelions they found in the field.

Nothing goes in vain.

The universe has its weird ways to let you meet your happiness, and Siddharth knows it was Avneet and Ishaan for him.

It wasn't long before he heard Avneet shuffling and groaning before her eyes blinked open.

Siddharth steered his face away from her neck and pecked her nose.

"Good morning, pretty baby."

Avneet blushed prettily, her face a little swollen, an expression still a little lost for having just woken up, but she still managed to smile for Siddharth.

"Good morning, sid."

Siddharth plopped down back on his chest, hugging her even tighter, making Avneet laugh. "You still sleep like a baby."

Siddharth pouted. "I do not."

The younger snorted. "Yeah, and ishaan is not the name of our son."she retorted.

Siddharth smiled bashfully. " Our son, oh my lord, I never would have thought I'll be listening to this while lying with you on the bed in our twenties."

Avneet frowned, pushing away. What did Siddharth even mean? She pouted.

Siddharth was confused before he noticed the expression on Avneet's face. He laughed, hugging her again. "Aw, don't pout. You know I don't mean it like that!"

Avneet rolled her eyes, a silly grin on her face. "You know what I think?"

Siddharth shook his head. "Nope, humor me."

"I think we're both stupid."

"In love, yes."

"And made some really dumb decisions."

"In love, yes."

"And we're immature."

Siddharth couldn't help the laugh that bubbled out of his throat. "Oh, hell yeah, definitely."

"But in love, hm?"Avneet teased.

Siddharth swooped in to place a quick kiss on her lips, smiling against the soft petals. " A hundred percent, yes."he whispered.

Avneet hugged Siddharth's neck and sighed. "Sid, thank you."she confessed, "For forgiving me. For understanding me and for... loving me."

Siddharth tightened the hug, almost crushing Avneet between his arms. "Don't thank me, half of these things... I did it for myself. You don't need to thank me, Avni. I love you."

Avneet hummed. "I love you too."

It was a few minutes later when the door to their room was pushed open, and a very sleepy boy entered the room with half open eyes and an aggressive pout on his lips.

"Mumma!" ishaan whined, making both his parents coo.

Siddharth pushed himself up from Avneet and helped his little baby climb the bed who immediately found his place between Avneet and Siddharth and was immediately snoring softly after Siddharth pushed a blanket over him, cuddling his two favorite humans between his arms.

Avneet giggled, seeing ishaan fast asleep.

Siddharth groaned as if physically pained. "He's sooo0 cuteeee!"he cried out softly.

The younger winked at him. "You can't tell me I haven't birthed the absolute perfect baby ever."

Siddharth leaned down to kiss ishaan's forehead and then firmly kissed Avneet's cheek. "He's perfect, just like I am."

Avneet giggled. "Really?"

"Mhm," and Siddharth was dozing off along with ishaan's snore a few minutes later, leaving Avneet to stare at how beautiful her life was supposed to be.

After the recordings of the song Avneet, Jannat and Faisal were at the company lounge area, resting for a bit after. Also, jannat and faisu have been seeing each other for a week now because of their mutual attraction towards each other.

Siddharth walked towards them with ishaan in his arms and smirked, looking at Avneet. It obviously confused Avneet, who looked at him with question in her eyes.

The older winked at her before leaning and landing a peck, squarely on her lips, a contending 'chuu' sound following it.

Everyone froze. Jannat gasped dramatically loud, almost as if her soul left her body. Faisal's eyes were wide open, but he wasn't surprised.

"Did you see that?" Jannat aggressively shook faisal. "Tell me you see that too, or I'll jump off the building's roof right now."

"W-what? No, Jann. I see what you see."Faisal answered, shaking his head at the dramatic Girl.

Jannat gasped again, louder as Siddharth placed another kiss on Avneet's lip, who swatted him away but with a shy sheepish smile.

"They're kissing?!"

Faisal facepalmed. "Yes, Jannat. They are!"Out from the information.

"Daughter of a snitch, come here, right now, and explain!" An accusing finger was pointed right at Avneet, who scratched the back of her neck.

"What do I explain?"

Jannat glared at her. "This!"

Avneet shrugged. "Well, we made up."

"And then we had a make-out." Siddharth added, coughing. "Many, for a fact."

Avneet and Siddharth laughed how Jannat looked like she would pass out from the information.

Well, they hadn't really told anyone they would be trying things together again. And now that the cat was out of the bag, they should be expecting reactions like this more often.

"If I wasn't happy for you both, I would have beheaded Avneet with my bare hands."Jannat mutters, rolling her eyes.
