51. No

"Sid, stop pouting!" Avneet giggled, looking at the pouty older who was glaring at the door since last few minutes.

"But my baby!"he whined as if his favorite toy was snatched away from him. "We were supposed to watch a movie today!"

His father just picked Ishaan up from his apartment and took him away for the night because the older couple wanted some grandparent-grandson bonding time today.

Avneet laughed, pulling the grumpy male away from the entrance of the house into the living room. "It's okay, we can watch a movie together instead."

"Yes, but first I have to show you something." Siddharth said, dragging Avneet towards their bedroom.

They have been staying in Siddharth's apartment right now because a few days ago, the lock for Avneet's apartment door has stopped working and apparently needs to be replaced, so they've temporarily shifted to Siddharth's apartment.

And I assure you it's not because Siddharth had got a new room designed for Ishaan on his favorite cartoon theme, who wasn't ready to leave the room now.

"What is it?" Avneet asked curiously, eyes wide, thinking about what it could be about.

"Ta-da!" Siddharth dramatically opened his arms, indicating to the bed on which the blankets were messily thrown over.

Avneet looked at him curiously. "You wanted to show me your bed?"

Siddharth nodded. "Yes, now cuddle me."he demanded before falling down on the bed with open arms for Avneet to fall into.

Avneet giggled at Siddharth's antics. "You're so cheeky."

Siddharth pouted, flailing his arms impatiently. "Cuddles! Now! C'mon?"he whined.

The younger shook her head before taking her jacket off and climbing on the bed and was immediately tackled on the bed by Siddharth's frame, who immediately snuggled to her neck.

Avneet smiled, softly running her hands through Siddharth's hair, feeling him breathe against her neck.

"What happened to watching a movie?" Avneet teased when she felt Siddharth's happy sigh against her face.

"Later."he huffed. "Cuddles are more important."

"You're obviously right, you absolute cutie." Avneet agreed, making Siddharth giggle.

She felt at peace. Having Siddharth's beating heart against her's, his body against her.

She felt complete.

Which she rarely felt in the last few years.

Giving their relationship a second chance was a decision she now knows she would never regret. Because what matters is she is happy. Siddharth's happy, and their little life is the happiest baby alive.

What more would anyone want from life?

Judging by the mistakes she has made in the past, Avneet would declare herself to be a little too lucky.

She sighed, leaning in and pecking Siddharth's head, thanking God once again for this absolutely finest human in her arms.

How did she get so lucky?

Avneet gasped when Siddharth suddenly bit her neck. "Don't stop."he whined sleepily. It took Avneet a few fleeting seconds to understand he was talking about her running her fingers against his scalp.

"Of course."she smiled softly before resuming running her fingers through his hair.

"YOU BETRAYED ME!"

Avneet sighed. "Sid-"

"AND I KNOW THAT YOU NEVER FEEL SOOORRYYYYY! FOR THE WAY I HURT, YEAH!"

"Sid, listen—"
