(one week later Universe Guardian Online forest abandoned castle inside barrier)
The knight buffalo boss charges into a wall after Mazoku dodges to the side. From a distance, Ishtar releases a lightning strike from her hands making it hit the buffalo back.
Mazoku (standing next to Ishtar): This is a tough one.
Ishtar: It only has four bars. Maybe that glow we saw at the beginning gave itself a huge buff.
Mazoku (see the buffalo stand): But there was no sign of a boss in the area.
Ishtar: It could be a hidden boss.
Suddenly Ishtar was punched being sent flying to crashing into a wall before losing almost half of her hp. The boss soon started attacking Mazoku so he had to block every attack but after a couple of strong hits, he used the skill counter swift to allow himself to block an attack before unleashing a quick attack.
(near a broken wall)
Ishtar (after sitting up): Ow. (standing) If it was real I would be out cold for a while longer.
When Ishtar looked at Mazoku she put a defence buff on him after seeing his orange bar almost reach red. Ishtar then used two continuous healing spells on herself and Mazoku so she could think of a plan.
Ishtar (in her mind): I should fight alongside him but Mazoku asks me to stay on support this time. (eyes slowly dim while reaching for her sword) Maybe he won't mind if I...
Mazoku (after blocking by having his katana horizontal): No. (after Ishtar's senses return) If you do that who knows what will happen when you're fully one with your avatar.
Ishtar: Then what can I do?
Mazoku: Think like Ishtar. Don't think like Shuvi. Remember (struggling to hold the block) I Mazoku always got your back.
Ishtar (in her mind): That's right. I did say hanging out with each other in person won't change anything in the game. So why am I thinking that?
Mazoku (going on one knee): Not to be rude but can you help?
Ishtar (quietly): Three enchanting spells.
Ishtar magic power increases having her eyes and mark glow before a light spike hits the boss's forehead taking the first bar to zero. The buffalo's strength weakened a bit allowing Mazoku to stand but a pillar from the wall knocked the buffalo to the side. After hitting the ground multiple fireballs were released from the sky.
Mazoku (in his mind looking at Ishtar after standing): She used one of her skills that has a longer cool down.
Ishtar (touching her head covering one of her eyes): Mazoku we need to hurry before I lose it.
Mazoku (in his mind while seeing the continuous heal stop after being a full bar): This isn't good.
(middle of the area)
When Mazoku looks at the boss he sees the buffalo stand up before they see the boss having two full bars but the third bar is half. The boss charges at them but Mazoku throws a grenade having it explodes after hitting its head.
(time froze)
Mazoku (time slows down after seeing the boss sword through the smoke): Demon eye.
(normal time)
The boss landed its vertical slash but when the dust disappeared Ishtar saw Mazoku standing right next to the blade. His blade glowed a bit before he unleashed a right diagonal slash releasing a strong wind force making his hairband break.
Ishtar (in her mind having her mark and eyes stop glowing being surprised while the boss hp goes to the second bar): What just happened with Mazoku?
Mazoku (having sharp pupils with his eyes glowing while the wind blows): If you're going to lose control I can no longer hold back.
Before the buffalo made any move Mazoku stabbed its chest before pulling his katana out to unleash multiple attacks making the boss lose some hp. However, after reaching the last bar the boss's power increases returning to what it had from the beginning of the fight.
Ishtar: Mazoku get away!
Mazoku (having his eyes covered by his hair while smiling): This is the end.
The boss unleashes a powerful vertical slash but with one hand Mazoku blocks the attack taking very little damage. After pushing the buffalo back he unleashes his own vertical slash cutting the buffalo in half leaving a long line on the ground behind the boss.
Ishtar (shock): That last attack just finished the buffalo.
Mazoku (while sheathing his katana): Did I scare you?
Ishtar: What is that skill?
Mazoku (while turning around): Before I ever met you. I fought a powerful demon boss. I almost died but I was able to win the fight. The game gave me the skill (look at Ishtar) demon eye. It buffs my avatar until the match is over. This skill gave me the nickname Demon Samurai.
Ishtar: That's quite amazing.
