(fire third floor VIP room)
Souji (in his mind after opening her eyes while lying near the wall being on her side): Why is there so much fire? (after remembering) Iris pushed me away from the blast but did she survive?
When Souji sat up he noticed his left arm was hurting while covered in some cuts from the broken pieces of glass. After standing Souji sees the glass wall in front of him destroyed and being blocked by bricks from the ceiling. However, he saw a small gap so Souji grabbed his coat and sword bag before crawling through.
(in the hole passage)
Souji (in his mind while crawling): My arm killing me but I can't just wait in here for someone to save us.
Once Souji reaches the end of the passage he arrives in a damaged room. After doing a bit of searching he saw someone on the ground through the fire.
(burning room)
Souji (while walking over): Iris.
After walking through the fire Souji sees Iris lying on her back having blood on her forehead and a bullet hole on her left hip.
Souji (in his mind having his ear on Iris's chest): She's still alive. (looking at the window) Someone must have shot her from a distance during the explosion.
While looking for any other injuries Souji sees cuts on Iris's lower right leg. Her cuts didn't look that bad like his arm so he decided not to worry and rip his right sleeve to stop the bleeding on Iris's right hip before carrying her on his back.
(outside the building while the top half burns)
Policeman (after running over while their noise in the background): Sorry sir but we're having no luck finding another way into the building.
Ruby (looks at Souji's dad): Sir let me go and do something.
Souji's dad: If I let you do what you like right now. I know you would put yourself in harm to help people.
Ruby (in her mind gripping her fist): But standing here doesn't make me feel better.
Person (from a distance): I see someone on the roof.
Ruby (see Souji carrying Iris): They were able to get out.
Souji's dad (talking to the walkie-talkie): We spot my son and his friend. Is it possible to get them?
Helicopter person (from walkie-talkie): We can grab them. With your permission can we take them straight to the hospital?
Souji's dad: Please do. (looks at Ruby after putting his walkie-talkie away) Have one of my men take you to the hospital. I'll come by once I'm done here.
Ruby (before running off): I'll see you there then. (in her mind while running off) Thank goodness you're both alive.
(Sunset Hospital)
Ruby (sitting on a chair near a bed seeing Souji open his eyes): I never expected you to wake up so soon.
Souji (look at Ruby): How did I get to the hospital?
Ruby: The people in the helicopter said when they arrived you two were out cold on the floor.
Souji (immediately sits up having no shirt on): Where is she?
Ruby (standing when Souji touches his left arm that's covered in bandages): Iris is in the next room.
Souji: I'm going to see her.
Ruby (while Souji removes the blanket): You shouldn't get out of bed.
Souji (go on one knee when he stands after grabbing his katana): Why does everything feel so weird?
Ruby (puts one of Souji's arms over her shoulder): Maybe you're feeling the effect from hitting your head on the ground.
Souji's dad (enters after Ruby helps Souji stand): I had a feeling he would do this.
Souji (after Ruby sat him down on the bed): How's Iris?
Souji's dad: You're in a way better condition than she is. Your mother is watching over her.
Souji: Has Iris got any severe injuries?
Souji's dad: Besides the injury on her hip she has no other severe injuries.
Ruby: However Iris had to have surgery to stop the bleeding.
Souji (grips his katana handle): It should have been me, not her. (in his mind) I should be the one getting those injuries.
Ruby: What do you mean?
Souji: When we were leaving the room to head to the roof. She pushed me away before everything suddenly went blank.
Souji's dad: Someone shot the rocket and we still can't find who did that.
Souji (remember): Do you have my coat? I need to show you something.
