"He will have approximately until the end of the year to pay his debt back."

The white haired interlocked his fingers and hummed, "That's not a lot of time. I'll be winning the bet."

The faded blue hair male nodded, "I'm sure you'll win. That right hand man is smart after all."

Ace smiled, "I have high hopes that you'll do better than Midori, Kaito. Although I will take the win, I want to make sure. Do anything to separate them."

Kaito bowed as he muttered, "I will."

Ace smirked to himself, "I'll finally be able to be his right hand man."

---

Chuuya had until the end of the year to make Dazai fall for him and he was instantly regretting the bet he made. He might have to just give Ace the position.

The brunette always gave him cold stares and didn't like affectionate touch. There was no way he'll be able to make the brunette fall in love with him in such little time. A few months? After all, Dazai most likely only saw him as his boss and his debt collector. Or maybe someone who was going to help him with his debt and he was going to take advantage of that.

The ginger sighed, gaining the brunette's attention as Dazai raised a brow.

"Is something the matter?"

The brunette had gotten used to talking to him more casually than formally now that they were 'dating'. Chuuya would've taken that as a point but he knew it wasn't going to make any difference.

"Nothing. Just deep in thought."

"About what?" Yes, the brunette did not know about the bet and Chuuya was at his wits end.

"Nothing. Don't worry about it." The ginger chuckled at the brunette who's busy hands were organising multiple report files. Dazai frowned slightly before nodding, resuming his work.

The normal working day passed and the ginger and brunette were supposed to go home together but Chuuya called a driver to get his right hand man, or should I say boyfriend back home first because he had a few missions to complete with his subordinates. His ability did come in handy most of the time.

Taking the last sip of coffee from his mug, the brunette glanced at the ginger who was busy talking on the phone with most likely one of his subordinates, Dazai pushed the drawer containing all the important files close as he stood.

Chuuya ended his call and gave a smile to the other, bidding the brunette goodbye.

Dazai's eyes narrowed as he leaned down to the same height as the ginger who was sitting down and before he knew it, he gave Chuuya a peck on the cheek. He blushed slightly as the ginger's eyes widened.

"Don't worry that much." The brunette mumbled as he left the office, leaving the ginger surprised and rooted to his chair.

"He initiated" The ginger mumbled to himself. The ginger caught himself laughing that night.

---

The brunette groaned in annoyance at the hand recognition door of the pent house. It was annoying because if you didn't place your hand properly, it won't let you enter. He should ask Chuuya to invest in a normal lock since there were so many guards at the entrance.

"Do you need help, sir?" A sudden voice sounded from behind him.

The brunette jumped, fishing out his gun only to notice it was one of the guards.

He quickly placed his gun away and observed the other. He was a guard right?" Shouldn't he be on guard duty or something. Was he that free to help him?

"No thank you." The brunette answered as he turned to face the door again, not liking the stare the other was giving him.

"Alright then." He heard the guard chirped. Odd. Were all the guards this friendly?

Just then, a sudden shock of nausea overwhelmed the brunette as Dazai used his hand to support himself against the door. Why now?

He heard a hum, seems like the guard noticed it too.

He turned, his gut feeling was right. There's something wrong with this guard. Dazai turned as his hand reached for his gun but he only saw blurrily at the guard approached him before he blacked out.

---

Chuuya was finally done with the outstanding missions and had already went separate ways from his subordinates. He fished out his phone, calling the brunette to check if he was at home as he waved at Kouyou who was just leaving her office too.

The ginger removed the phone from his ear, frowning slightly at the other not picking up the phone as Kouyou raised a brow.

"There's a problem, lad?"

The ginger shook his head, "No. Dazai's just not answering the phone."

Kouyou chuckled, "He's most probably sleeping. Why don't you go home as see him already. He must miss you."

"I doubt that."  The ginger rolled his eyes.

Just then, a familiar white haired strolled along. He feigned surprise.

"Oh, boss. I finally found you. Dazai gave me something!"

The ginger's eyes widened as he approached the other who gently placed a enveloped in his hands.

"A letter?"

Ace nodded, "Yes, he says he wants to take a few days off to clear his mind. Seems like all those report piling up made him stressed. He told you not to contact him either. He'll be back at work in a week perhaps."

The ginger hummed, skimming through the whole letter and sighing.

"I swear. If I see him in that shady bar again."

Ace chuckled as he shook his head, "I did him a favour and booked him a hotel to live in for a few weeks. Not in Yokohama though."

The ginger raised a suspicious brow, glancing at Kouyou who was nodding, "You...booked him a hotel. Didn't know you liked him that much, Ace."

The white haired shook his head innocently, "Take as thank you. Dazai had willingly helped me to find the needed files for my research. It would've have took me so long if he hadn't done it."

Chuuya's eyes narrowed and nodded, "Seems like Dazai is getting along with the executives."

Ace nodded pleasantly, "Indeed. He has been so much help. Well, I have to go now. It's getting late."

The ginger sighed but waved the other goodbye.

Once Ace left, Kouyou finally spoke up, "Are you sure, Chuuya?"

The ginger shrugged, "I did give Dazai a lot work recently, he deserves a break."

The pink haired frowned, "I know but don't you think Ace may be lying."

The ginger stopped in his tracks, "Well, booking Dazai a hotel doesn't have anything to do with a brat unless Ace wants to date him and I doubt that so he'll be fine."

Kouyou nodded reluctantly, "Alright. I hope he comes back after a week."
