After the whole tragic incident that turned out to be a blessing in disguise, Chuuya had Midori and her ability friend sent to Akutagawa who handled all those minor kills. But not before they questioned them, which proved unsuccessful as there seemed to be a ability that prevented them from speaking.
That was a new case for the port mafia. Chuuya suspecting that there was another traitor.
The brunette was once again standing next to Chuuya, as the ginger's faithful right hand man.
The two' relationshsip seemed to have improved after the dungeon experience. Both talking more than when they first started. It was a norm for the port mafia members to see the brunette and ginger walking around together.
It was as if they were inseparable.
Kouyou had even suggested that the ginger should 'make a move' on the other. Which he ginger obviously declined with a blush, saying that he wanted to respect his right hand man especially since he had worked so hard to make it this far for their 'friendly boss and worker' relationship. The last thing he wanted to do was for him to accidently push the other boundary and start at square one again.
He knew how hard it was to get the other to open up to him. The ginger doesn't even know the other's birthday yet!
Wasn't it normal to know your right hand man's birthday?
Chuuya was pulled out of his thoughts as he felt his shirt being pulled by the other.
He hummed, turning to face the other.
The brunette merely placed a bag of food on the ginger' table before resuming his work.
Chuuya had installed another seat fro Dazai to seat instead of standing the whole day.
The ginger sighed as he took a peek inside the plastic bag, smiling at the produce inside.
It has been less than a year that thw brunette had been working with Chuuya. Yes, with. The ginger didn't like to say that the brunette worked under him. He didn't want the brunette to be called under his rank that he should be on.
Anyways, the ginger was delighted to see his favourite meal from the nearby cafe and a latte to top it off.
The brunette had remembered what the ginger liked just by following him around for lunch.
Chuuya had decided the brunette should follow him for lunch as well unless they were busy, like today. Then the brunette would buy for the ginger.
The older smiled as he thanked the other, "Did you buy anything for yourself?"
The ginger had given the brunette money to buy lunch and he allowed the other the use the left over money. He knee there was left over money, he purposely gave extra.
The first few times the brunette would just give back the money or buy himself water. Expensive water... but to Chuuya, it wasn't a lot.
However, this time to Chuuya' surprise, the brunette nodded and fished out a small bag of cookies and showed it to the other.
A small smile crept up the other's face as he nodded, humming in content.
He bought something.
That was good enough for Chuuya.
The ginger watched as the brunette glanced back at his work, resuming his unfinished reports.
Chuuya had given him a few stacks of files of unsolved cases and problems the port mafia was facing, hoping that the brunette could help him and he did.
Which wasn't a surprise but he could see his other executives staring in envy at the brunette, jealous of the closeness he had with the ginger and his smarts.
Chuuya could only sigh when he saw the brunette sent glares to anyone who dared look at him with nothing other than a blank face. You should just not look at him at all.
It was funny sometimes to see the brunette suddenly switch his behaviour when the ginger called him.
Chuuya smiled when he saw Dazai nibble the cookies he bought. He hoped the cookies weren't stale or too dry or else it'll be a waste.
Knocking of the door made Chuuya snap it of inserting Daaai who was still eating his cookies.
Ah, yes...it was that time where Kouyou will check on him.
The pink entered the office, greeting the both of them before commenting with a smile that she covered eoth the sleeve of her kimono.
"You two seem to be getting along."
The brunette sighed, "Boss is overworking me."
The ginger immediately glanced at the brunette, eyes narrowing.
"That's not true Ane-san. I didn't give him any deadline."
Kouyou chuckled, "You still call Chuuya Boss?"
The brunette only raised a brow and nodded.
Chuuya sighed at that audibly loud as well, "I told him he could call me Nakahara if he wanted but he didn't want to."
The pink haired hummed, "Well, it's good to be formal."
The ginger rolled his eyes, "Yeah, right...." he rested his chin on his arm which was propped up on the table.
Dazai, upon nltxiignt he ginger's disappointment and tired expressions he then side glanced Kouyou who was looking right at him, telling him with her sharp eyes to do something.
"C-Chuuya..." he mumbled, barely audible for the other but the ginger perked up at it and smiled.
"That's it. You can use my first name, Dazai."
The brunette gave a small smile back.
