And happiest birthday to my BL bestie, fellow BoNoH, LITA lover, quintessential Aquarian, my biggest strength and support, and the love of my life, my baby Jazz .... Thank you for being you, the reason I write, and my one woman army! ❤️

Rain

Rain sighed, probably for the third time that night, hiding it in a glass of champagne. This is not how he had expected his Valentine's Day to go. Ever since Sky (that sneaky bastard!) had started dating P'Pai, he had been hell-bent on ensuring that his friends (?) were also in meaningful relationships. Since forever, they had spent their Valentines together, all of them single, and enjoying the better things in life (read watching One Piece on a large screen with loads of snacks and alcohol and cursing couples!). Then boom! Sky met Pai, fireworks flew, and the remaining four became Sky's entertainment. It didn't help that P'Pai had too many friends, each of whom was conveniently single. Rain always felt that he got the worst end of the deal. Since he was bi, there was a never-ending parade of people set in front of him, and he was fed up.

The woman who sat in front of him was boring, her eyes continuously staring at the guy behind them, whom she had deemed extremely handsome the moment she walked in. "Oh! You are also cute though!" she had said, a voice a high-pitched whine that simply grated on Rain's nerves. He wanted to go home, take off these uncomfortable clothes (I mean, who wore a suit in Thailand's heat?), uncomfortable shoes, let down his hair, and just bundle himself up and sleep off to his TV blaring. Rain nodded, as he realised that the woman was saying something. "Then let's go?" she asked. "Go where?" Rain was confused. "To your house, for a nightcap? You just said that was okay?" she said. Oh no, no! He was not taking this weird woman to his beautiful home. Only his real partner would enter there, and no one else. Plus Rain did not do one-night stands. So no way he was showing anyone his house. "Excuse me, I will be right back, restroom," he said, as he quickly made his way into the men's facilities.

"I am going to kill you Sky," he chanted under his breath, as Sky's number still came switched off after 3 tries. "Ugh!" he said. "I swear our friendship is over Ai'Sky! Forever!" he hissed, as he left the room. He sat opposite the woman. "Let me get the cheque, but sorry about the nightcap. I just got a call from my boss. Something really urgent has come up," Rain said and made his escape before the woman could even splutter out a 'but'. Rain had had enough. His phone suddenly rang, as soon as he exited the top end restaurant. "Ai'Sig, how was it?" Rain asked. "Will Sky kill me if I say I ran?" Sig asked, sounding completely forlorn. "It's okay, we will die together," Rain said, completely sympathising with his best friend. "These fancy places are not my thing. Champagne and caviar and shit like that! I prefer soju and pork belly dude. Or beer and Tom yum! Especially from some place by the river!" Rain said, closing his eyes and leaning against the wall of the restaurant. "May I join you in that case?". Rain squeaked and nearly dropped his phone when a deep voice spoke in his ear!

Phayu

Phayu hated his best friend with an intensity that could not be matched. Until six months ago, he would have given his life for the guy. And now, a mere six months later, he was only too happy to take his life. He plotted murder and mayhem in his head as the man in front of him droned on and on about the trips he had taken. Phayu had tuned him out after picking on all his lies. Phayu had been to most of the places the man mentioned, but his memory of the place was not at all like this man's. He was lying through his nose, and Phayu was done with people like these. The one relationship back in college, where his beloved girlfriend had slept with half the football team, before she tried to hit on Prapai, had soured his faith.
