JJ's POV Emily's bday 5 AM
I'm surprising Emily with a hotel and trip to Philly today. I begged my coach to let me have off for today and she finally agreed. I'm also so excited because we're gonna be all by ourselves in a hotel tonight and we leave early tomorrow morning.
"Happy birthday baby." I kiss emily awake. "Why thank you." She smiles as her eyes flutter open. The last few days I've taken her so many new places and it has been so fun and romantic. I also promised her sex those days but then I went back on my promise because I knew I would have to hold out for the weekend.
"You're two decades old." I say. "It's crazy when you think about it that way." She smiles.
"Guess what we're doing today." I grin. "Class, practice, the usual." She says. "Nope. We're have a hotel in Philly." I say. "What! JJ!!" She shoots up and smiles.
"Is that why you're waking me up at the asscrack of dawn?" She asks. "Yup check in is at 9 so we gotta get going." I say.

We've been on the road for an hour and a half now. I was driving emily's car because I didn't bring my car to school and I wanted emily to relax on her birthday. Also according to her I suck at driving.
"JJ you're not even in a lane." She says. "Yes I am! I'm getting off at this exit you fuck." I say. "The exit is over there!" "Oops." I say and swerve to the next exit. "This is supposed to be relaxing???" Emily laughs. "Shut up and enjoy the ride." I say. "I wanted to enjoy a different type of ride for the past couple days but someone keeps teasing." Emily scoffs.
"Oh shut up." I giggle. "Wait emily take the wheel I have to post for your birthday." I say and grab the phone. "What- JJ!!" emily leans over and grabs the wheel.
"You can't wait until after????" Emily says. "No, i have to be the first one to post." "Well preferably keep us alive and then post!!" Em says.
"Wait I'm almost done." I say. "Do you drive by yourself at home?" She asks. "Yup all the time. Why." "JJ you were just in 2 lanes at one time." "I never said I was good at driving." "How did you get your license?" Emily says. "Couldn't tell you."
Eventually we get off on our exit and we pull into the city. I may have accidentally hit a curb or two and Emily has declared that I am not driving us back, or anywhere else for that matter.
We get to the hotel and grab our things. Checking in and walking up to our room.
"We need to try a Philly cheesesteak!!" Emily says. "Oh for sure." I unlock our room and watch emily's face fall into shock.

I grabbed a huge bouquet of roses that I had brought for her prior and passed it to her. "Happy Birthday Em." I smile.
"I love you." Emily says, tearing up, she embraced me in a tight hug swinging me around, "I don't care if you don't say it back Jayje but I love you so much." She says, holding me so very tightly.
"I love you Baby." I hold her face as our lips connect. She shuts the door behind us and throws me onto the bed. "Ah ah ah. Not yet." I say. Even tho I want it so badly right now I'm saving it for tonight.
"Your roses." I hold them out to her. "Thank you baby." She says, "you're amazing." She kisses me softly.

We left the hotel and went to many different food spots trying different things. Of course we tried the cheesesteak and we absolutely devoured it. I then took her to a very cute spot and we took instagram pictures of us together and individuals.
The team called emily to tell her happy birthday and complained because they weren't here with us in Philly. We joked and apologized before the call ended.
I then took her to the Museum of Art and we walked around for about 2 hours just admiring all of the art pieces. She looks so happy today and it makes me so happy. It's like I've never seen her smile this much.
As we left the museum her arms came around me and our lips met. "I love you." I say. "And I love you." "We went what? A month without saying that." Emily laughs.
"Our 1 month is in two days. So basically." I say.
"I've never seen you this happy baby." I stroke her cheek. "You make me so happy. I can't stop smiling when I'm around you." She says.
"You know that song by The Beach Boys? They go, 'if every word I said, could make you laugh... I'd talk forever' ... that's how I feel about you." I say and she starts blushing.
"I love you." She kisses me. "I love you more... come on our days not over yet." I say and I take us to a fancy restaurant.
We sit down and order food and we were chatting just about our coursework and how stressful this semester has been.
The waiters bring over a cake and some flowers and hand them to Emily. Which was not from me, but I know who they're from. I smile as emily looked so confused. "On the house. From Ambassador Prentiss and Ely Prentiss. 'Happy birthday to our munchkin. We love you sweet girl. Keep chasing your dreams <3 We're so proud. - Mom and Dad.'" The waiter read.
Emily pulls out her phone and calls her parents thanking them. "Did you know about this?" She asks me. "Of course I did." I smile.
Once we wrap up dinner we helped each other out our jackets on and as we walk out the restaurant emily holds on to my hips and whispers into my ear from behind me.
"Thank you for today," she kisses me on the cheek, "now it's my turn to be in control."
