Winter Break
Emily's POV

We've been on break for about a week now which means week 1 out of way too many weeks until I see JJ again. Our goodbyes to each other were quite dramatic but I don't care I should've hugged her longer because I miss her so much.

My mom and I are currently in Santa Barbara. For what you may ask? I do not know. I just smile and nod.

"Mom where are we going to be for Christmas? Can we just go home for once." I ask. "We are going home Emmy." She says and I jump up and down. We are hardly ever at our actual house in Boston. I love that house so much.

"Can JJ come for Christmas?" I ask. "Emmy you know her family is going to want to spend time with her on Christmas. Afterwards she can come sure." She says. "Really?" "Yes but we're leaving on the 27th and spending New Years in Bora Bora. She can come with if she wants." "We're going to bora bora?" I ask. It's no longer a surprise anymore when we go to Bora. She takes me there like twice a year and three times if she's having a really good year.

"Yeah. Text her now so I can get her a seat." "Your amazing mom."

I grab my phone and hit JJ's contact and I go to FaceTime  her. "Hi lovey." She says and she answers the phone. "Hi, what are you doing?" I ask. "Helping my mom with dinner. How's Santa Barbara?" She asks. "Relaxing. My mom took me wine tasting." I smile. "Ooo that's fun."

"Sooooooo, what if we got you a plane ticket to come to our house in Boston on the 26th? And then we would leave to go to Bora Bora on the 27th?" I say. "Um duh!!!!!" She smiles. "So you'll come?" I ask. "Of course I'll come baby." She says.

December 26th

I drove to the airport to pick JJ up and waited eagerly outside. This was better than Christmas. Going near three weeks without seeing her would've been hell.

I wait very impatiently for her to come outside and she was taking forever. I went to grab my phone to call her and right as I did she walked outside.

"Baby!" I run up to her and hug her, spinning her around. Our lips connect for a few seconds and we both smile at each other. "I missed you." She smiles. "I miss you too."

We get in the car and I drive us back to my house. Her jaw dropped as we pulled in. "I knew you had money emily but damn." She says.

I got her settled to stay in my room tonight but we didn't do too much unpacking as we would be in Bora Bora tomorrow.

New Years Eve
11:57 PM

JJ and I are laying on the beach with our laptop up playing the countdown. Not paying much attention to it tho as we were fake wrestling each other for a pack of gummy worms.

"Emily gimme!" She reaches for it and I yank my arm away. "You bitch." She reaches for my arm and I put it in another direction.

She falls on top of me trying to reach for it again and we both start laughing. "We go home tomorrow. Which means I don't see you for a few days again." She pouts. "Hey, at least it's only 5 days and not 3 weeks." I say. "I used to freak out if I didn't see you every 2 hours... 5 days is a lot." JJ says. "You right."

"Im happy I get to be your new years kiss." I say. "Mhm. This year and every single year after this." She smiles as the clock strikes 10.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" We both shout and I take her face softly into my hands as we kiss each other.

"I love you to infinity and back." JJ says. "Oh baby girl I still love you so much more."
