It's been a couple days since my last update, and I would say I'm deeply sorry, but I'm not. Job hunting can really take the time away from a person. Anyway, what should we talk about today? Well since we're on the topic already, let'stalk about jobs. Don't worry. It's not the boring stuff. It's the reality of having a job. Ever since I've really started hunting for jobs. Like really try this time, I've realized something. Good liars get the jobs with heavy customer flow. We want to deal with people and smile about their days when really we couldn't care less, but let's face it; No one at the cashier's desk cares about our day. They want to, but they just can't. Imagine a job where it's the same thing everyday. Forever. I'd imagine you'd die a little each time if you're not strong enough to handle the dumb people who complain that their overly complicated coffee order was messed up and they wonder why. I know why! You asked for a coffee only people who drink too much ask for, and God's punishing you for it. I would say they're over reacting though. Who knows? It might be the only thing they have in their life going for them. There are smart people who come in. They just say what they want and when the order's messed up, they deal with it if it's something minor. People are busy in there. You have the ability to fix it yourself. Those places are designed to "push and go". They're not meant to deal with every order like they're your mother making you dinner. No one cares. To them, you're a number. I'm starting my first job as a gift shop clerk on Saturday, and honestly, I'm looking forward to it. I once held a smile for 10 minutes, so I'd say I'm good when it comes to holding conversations. Hopefully they're not that long. It pays, so there's that. Now I'll have a reason to open a bank account.
