So "The Daily Show" ended last night... I don't know how to respond to this crushing news other than "Holy Fuck..." Thank you Jon Stewart. Just thank you. In a world where news stations only yelled and pandered to us, you gave us 30 minutes of comfort trying to get us through the week. The way I see it, we were in a bunker being nuked by Fox, CNN, and NBC, but mostly Fox, with total bullshit. You were the dad trying to tell us everything would be OK, but we knew it was bullshit. We listened to you during good and bad times and you were able to give us what every human being needs. A laugh or two. Will anyone ever fill the void your absence leaves? No. People can, though, keep you in mind whenever there's a storm of bad news and imagine what you would do. Now that you're out of the Comedy Central Network, we'll learn to live without you. You're were and are my favorite Jew on television. I say that with the sincerest love in my heart. Now go to your Jersey home and be happy. It's the least you deserve.
