Three months has passed and everyone continued life the way it is. Despite hardships and uneasiness the semester bought to everyone, they managed to pull their 1st year of their college life off.
Dwayne was in his week of packing his things for good. Mabigat sa kalooban niyang mag ayos ng kaniyang gamit. Hindi niya naman ito ginusto in the first place. He keeps staring at his things, nothing were to be put inside the suitcase and duffle bag scattered on the floor for the past hour.
He stared at every bit of it, as if he was going to lose it all. From his Fast and the Furious Funko Pop Collection, to his graphic shirts. He couldn't manage to put the things sa suitcase and duffle bags niya.
He groans as he lets himself fall on his bed, grabbing his phone, looking at his all-time-favorite picture of him and his favorite person.
"How I wish I could at least see you before I leave," Grazing at Akira's picture on his phone.
[Flashback]
Jayden came knocking on the Buenesco's door one afternoon. Luckily, Akira was home early dahil isa lang ang subject niya today. Her bestfriend was carrying a few snacks with him.
They were sitting in the living room while Akira tidies her things up, nag gagawa kasi siya ng schoolworks before Jayden came.
"What's up with you? You doin' okay?" Jayden asks habang binubuksan ang dala niyang Big Bunch Dunkin Donuts Munchkins.
Napahinga ng malalim si Akira, "I'm fine, Kade"
"Mhmm, tell that to yourself," Obviously, Jayden doesn't believe her. Her long deep sigh says otherwise.
A slightly hard slap landed on Jayden's arm nang sabihin iyon. Akira knows what he's pertaining to. "Come on, Kira. You and I both know na hindi ka okay since the dinner. Tignan mo, magtatapos na ang semester pero you still haven't gotten over it" Hinarap siya ng kaibigan. "What happened to NO SECRETS?"
Jayden was right, she just kept ignoring the fact na hindi pa'rin siya maka-get over 'don. It's been three months.
"He talked to me, yknow? A few weeks back" This got Akira's attention. Makikita sa kaniyang hinihintay niya ang susunod na sasabihin ng kaibigan. "He asked how you're doing, and if he could talk to you"
"Give him time, makakalimutan niya 'rin ako. I'm sure there are a lot of girls na willing mapa-sakaniya after-"
"He doesn't have time. He's leaving," Napatigil si Akira. "For good,"
Tahimik pa'rin ito. "He asked me if pwede ka ba daw niyang makausap even at least before he leaves. Sabi ko titignan ko kasi I don't even know to tell you and how you would react,"
She kept quiet despite all that Jayden said. She does not know what to feel. She just sinks into the couch of their living room and wishes for everything to just restart.
