A few days later
Thunder paced back and forth outside Mother's cave, his mind consumed with worry. It had been a few days since he had locked himself in with her to ensure the safety of their newborn son. Now, as he finally emerged from the depths of the cave, a pressing question weighed heavily on Thunder's heart. "So, what would be the wise decision for who will guard my son?" Thunder asked aloud, hoping for some guidance from Mother. Mother sat back, deep in thought. Her golden eyes darted around the dimly lit cave as she pondered the options. Finally, she turned to Thunder and spoke softly, "What about Kris? He's protective, lovable, and will have giant wings." Thunder considered the suggestion, knowing that Kris was a loyal and reliable companion. "I'll go with Kris," he decided, finally finding some solace in his decision, "He'll learn to love his brother and he will protect him." Mother nodded in agreement, her soft face breaking into a small smile. "Yes, Kris will be a wonderful guardian for your son. He possesses all the qualities needed to keep him safe." Relieved by Mother's words, Thunder thanked her for her suggestion. He had been plagued by uncertainty for days, unsure of which path to choose. Now, with a clear plan in mind, he felt a renewed sense of purpose. Eager to set his plan into motion, Thunder made his way back to the mouth of the cave. The forest welcomed him with its familiar sight and comforting sounds. However, as he ventured deeper into the woods, he sensed an unease in the air – a scent carried by the wind that sparked a sense of danger.
