"Deep thoughts?" Nagulat si Zach sa biglaang presensya ng Mommy ni Leo.
"Tita!" He is so glad to see her and welcomed her with a hug.
"I missed you, my not so little boy." She hugged him back.
Two days na siyang nag-i-stay sa place ni Leo after everything happened in their house. He's in a very bad state, miserable and couldn't even find a way to search for Anna anymore.
"Leo didn't tell me na uuwi ka Tita, I should've prepare something." Tila bigla itong nahiya sa kalagayan niya.
She smiled.
"I came home for something important." Her worried face shows. She touch Zach's face.
"Are you okay?"
"Of course, Tita!" He smiled and it's visibly fake.
"I knew what happened to you and to your mom." Nice, it's a very awakening topic. He sighed.
"So, she called for a back-up." He sarcastically smiled.
"No, I came home to say sorry and to tell everything you need to know." He's speechless to hear this to Monique.
"We owe you this. But, believe me. Everything you're mom and dad did was to protect you." Zach turned his back.
"It's okay, Tita. I understand." He said to end the story.
"No, you don't.... Zach, just hear me out...." Deep in his heart gustong-gusto niyang marinig ito. He took a seat and let Monique talk.
"How could dad and mom lie to me.... How could he make me believe about my whole life.... How could you ?!" He's clearly hurting at kahit na sinisikap nitong huminahon hindi parin nawawala ang diin sa bawat salitang kanyang tinutugon.
Bawat salita'y tila sinasaksak ito. Dama ang sakit at kirot habang sinisikap pakalmahin ang sarili at bigyan ng oras si Monique na magkwento.

And then, one day, Jean was chosen to represent our class in a campus pageant and she quickly said no. Your dad was very supportive. Friends, the whole class even our instructors knew who they going to ask for help to convince her. He did.
Hindi siya nito pinabayaan, every rehearsals nandyan siya dahilan para mabuild ang confidence ni Jean.
And she won. He was her inspiration. Napakaraming magagandang nangyari, Jean was able to support her school's expenses, she became scholar at napigilan niya rin ang magulang niya ma ibenta ang ilang hektaryang lupa nila sa probinsya. I remember Jean, she was crying to me dahil sobra siyang nao-overwhelm sa nangyayari sa buhay niya.
She was very thankful to him dahil kung hindi dahil sakanya, hindi makakawala sa comfort zone si Jean. They were very lucky to have each other. They were very confident, they can make it until the end.
But, faith took a turn.
