"So, when did you start to fall for art?" She saw her Mama smiled, at last Zach started a convo with her.
She hesitanly answered and pinakiramdaman si Zach kung talaga bang interesado itong makipag-usap, continued when he is.
"It's where my heart is ever since I was a kid." She casually answered. It was awkward.
"And then..." She look at Zach, waiting for a very defined answer, is he really want to know or just playing with me? She sighed.
"I practiced." Tipid parin nitong sagot.
"He paints too but too busy sa company." Mother bragged.
"Talaga po?" Anna was surprised na malaman ito.
"I am not good." Zach humbly said.
"What are you talking about, you are very good. Napakaswerte ko nga dahil may dalawa akong anak na sobrang talented.
"No Ma, Annie is the best." Her mom's smile faded. Natahamik bigla ang paligid and it is very hard to revive the vibe earlier. That's when Anna knew, what Zach's wanted. Wala siyang interes sa kung anong sabihin niya, he just forced himself to be nice infront of their mother. He's bitter af.
"Ma'am may phonecall po kayo." Thank God one of their maid save the day. Nagpasintabi ang kanilang Mama which made it worst dahil naiwan silang dalawa.
"Hindi mo naman kailangang sabihin yun para lang pambato sakin. Please be considerate kung ano mararamdaman ni Mama." She smiled lightly.
"Hypocrite." Kumunot ang noo ni Anna. She's losing her temper.
"Anong sabi mo?!" Nagpantig ang tenga nito habang ramdam nito ang init sa magkabila niyang pisngi.
"Come on. Mom's not here, you can show me your true color." Presko nitong hirit. Hindi na na talaga nakapagpigil si Anna.
"Spoiled, ungrateful, narcissist." She smirked. He will not stop pag hindi niya to gagawin. She's trying so hard to understand the situation, Zach's attitude and immaturity. She think that if she just let him do what he wants, mas lalaki ang ulo nito.
Mukhang naging epektibo naman ito dahil bigla nalang ito napatigil sa pag-nguya. Namumula narin ang pisngi nito habang pinapakinggan si Anna.
"Wait, let me say this to you. Gaano kamahal ang bayad mo sa gym para ma-maintain ganyang figure mo, you think that's one of the requirement for you to become a real man. With your hardearned muscles when in fact you are just a baby na takot maagawan ng tsupon!" She knows where to hit him hard. He's speechless. Hindi alam ni Anna kung saan sila dadalhin ng kanilang init ng ulo. She's not ready for Zach's rebutt, she's shaking in anger. Gusto niyang suntukin ito, she's ready to do it physical. She can use her fork, she can use the plates in front of her, kick him in between or pull his hair.
And this is it!
Zach stood up, his face is red. She bet he lost his temper too, sino bang hindi?
But, Zach didn't do and say anything. He just left her and it's good. Walang away, walang rambol. She shoud be happy, he hit him below the belt, what he deserved but the guilt is very powerful. She thought that maybe, what she said is too much. Should I say sorry? No!.
She scratched her head. What the hell did you do!!!
Should I follow him and say sorry or not?
"Where's Zach?" Her mom returned.
"He went upstairs Ma, magpapahinga na daw po siya...."
"Anna." Her mom became so serious looking at her.
"....please do understand Zach, he's adjusting okay?" Oh god! Mas lalong lumaki ang naramdaman nitong guilt.
"Of course Ma." She just threw him what he deserved but she felt bad.
"And one more thing, you'll need to sleep early for tommorow's party..." And this one, pano niya ba to makakalimutan.
"It's okay ma, I can have the day preparing gabi naman po ang party."
"No darling! You should go for beauty rest...." Hindi na nakatanggi pa si Anna, she kissed and say goodnight.
