VICTOR PULLS UP BESIDE A HOTEL. I look at it through groggy eyes and yawn into my hand. I undo my seatbelt and we get out. "You okay?" I ask Bella and she looks at me. "I'm terrified." She mutters and we go into the hotel. "For yourself, or for Edward?" I ask her and she looks at me. "Both." I nod my head and we sit down in the lobby.
Alice and Victor sit down opposite us and she gasps. "What is it? What do you see?" Victor asks Alice and takes her hand. I slip into her head and project her vision through the rest of our minds.
James is there, following mine and Bella's scents before screaming and running the other way. "He changed course." Victor mutters angrily under his breath. Mirrors cover her vision, it's not clear. Mirrors are scattered all over the room.
"Edward said the visions weren't always certain." Bella says as she watches the vision in her mind. I see a large arch and a barre covering half of the wall. "She sees the course people are in while they're on it. If they change their minds, the vision changes." Victor explains to Bella.
"A ballet studio?" I mutter out as the vision becomes clear. It fades from Alice's mind and I stop projecting it. "Have you been here?" Alice asks me and I shake my head but Bella nods. "Yeah, I took lessons as a kid, the building in your vision, that was my ballet school." Bella tells them and her phone rings.
Mine does too. I excuse myself to answer it. Victor and Alice head to the front desk to get room. "Jasper, what's going on? I saw the tracker change his mind." I say to the blonde. "The woman is still in the area." He tells me. "I'm coming now, and we'll leave, go somewhere safe. I promise I'll keep you safe." He says to me and I let out a small sigh.
"Are you hurt?" I ask him and he lets out a small chuckle. "It takes more than a tracker to hurt me." He tells me and I glance at Bella. She's ends her call with Edward when she gets another one. "Jasper, I'll have to call you back. Don't be an idiot." I say and blow a kiss to the phone before hanging up.
"Calm down, everything's fine." She says and I walk closer to her. "I'll explain everything later." She says before frowning slightly. "Mom, are you there?" She asks and I stand opposite her, Bella moves so I can hear the call too. "Forks High School doesn't protect its students' privacy very well." I hear James' voice say and lean my ear closer to the phone.
"It was just too easy for Victoria to find your previous address. It's a nice house you have here. I was prepared to wait for you, but then mom came home after she received a very worried call from your dad. And it all worked out quite well." I hear Bella's mom whimpering.
"Don't touch her! Don't!-" she gets cut off my James. "You can still save her." He says to her. "But you're gonna have to get away from your friends. Bring the curly haired one with you. Can you handle that?" He asks her. "Where should I meet you?" Bella asks the vampire.
