I PACK A BAG WITH SOME STUFF BEFORE SLINGING THE STRAP OVER MY SHOULDER. My husband moves over to me and takes the bag from my arms. I raise my eyebrows and he gives me an innocent smile. "Thank you, mio amore." I press a gentle kiss to his cheek before going into my daughter's room to see if she has finished packing.
She has and a smile forms on her face as she looks at me. "Where are we going, mamma?" Claretta asks and hops down from her bed. I take her bag in my hands. "We are going to see our cousins in Alaska." She takes my hand whilst I hold her bag.
Jasper stands by me in an instant and takes the bag from my hands and slings it over his shoulders. "You don't need to carry everything, I can take some bags." He smiles at my words but shakes his head. "It's alright, darlin'. I want to carry them." I roll my eyes with a chuckle.
"If you say so." I smile out and we leave our cottage and make our way to the Cullen house.

The scent of a wet dog greets me and I spot Sam in the distance. "Sam, how are you? How's Emily and the pack?" I ask with a smile as he approaches the house from the opposite side of the woods. "We're alright, thanks Tallulah. Emily misses you, you should come over again." I smile at his words. He steps closer to me and Carlisle exits the house and walks towards us along with Esme.
I spot a note in Sam's hand and read his mind. My eyebrows pull to a frown and Jasper takes Claretta inside as he feels my sudden change of emotion. "Alice asked me to give you that. She and Victor crossed our lands to the oceans last night." Carlisle takes the letter from Sam and reads it. The rest of the family speed out and stand beside us in seconds.
"Carlisle?" Esme asks and stands beside me, gently taking my hand. "They've left us." Confusion washes over me. "Why?" Rosalie asks, suddenly standing beside me. "She didn't say." Bella takes my other hand before frowning as she looks at the letter in between Carlisle's fingers.
"Can I see that?" She asks and lets go of my hand and Carlisle gives her the paper. Bella moves back beside me and holds the letter out for me to read also.
Gather as many witnesses as you can before the snow sticks to the ground. That's when they'll come.
Bella turns the paper around and I spot the total of a book the page of paper is ripped from. The Merchant of Venice. I frown and lock eyes with Bella. I know what Alice wants us to do, but why would she leave when we needed her most? Does she know anything?

The car drives through the snow covered area before stopping in front of a large and modern wooden house. Another car parks beside ours and Jasper opens the car door and walks towards the Denali's with Edward following as he exits the opposite car.
"Jasper, Edward, is everything alright? Why didn't you tell us you were coming?" Tanya asks and Jasper walks toward the blonde woman with his adopted brother following behind him. I turn around in my seat and look at my daughter.
I smile at her as I listen to them talk. Everything will be alright, mio cara. I place my words in her mind and she smiles slightly. "It's time to meet your cousins, are you ready?" She smiles and I open the car door before speeding around to open my daughter's door.
She hops from her seat after undoing her seatbelt and takes my hand. The Denali's gasp as they see Claretta before their eyes move to Renesmee who holds Jake's and Bella's hands. "The Volturi will come for all of us." Kate whispers to Tanya.
"You get those things out of here." Tanya whispers with a hiss. "They aren't what they look like." My husband says and Renesmee drags Jake with her to go towards Claretta. "This is a crime!" Tanya yells out and in seconds, my eyes glow and red whisps cover my hands and surround her body as she lunges for my husband.
I let go of my daughter's hand and blast Kate away as she lunges for me. "Stay back." I tell them and stand beside my husband. Crimson energy circles my hands dangerously as I glare at the girls who tried to hurt my husband.
Eleazar gives the two girls a look, his gift allows him to know the true capabilities of my power. My eyes stop glowing and my hands relax.
"Claretta grows, and Renesmee has blood in her veins." I motion between my daughter and her young mate, they hold each others hand to comfort each other. "You can feel Renesmee's warmth, and you can see the resemblance Claretta has to Tallulah and I." My husband says and Carmen looks at the two girls. "I can see it." She says.
"I'm Renesmee's biological father. Bella's her mother. Just as Jasper and Tallulah are Claretta's." Kate shakes her head at Edward's words. "Impossible." Kate tells us. "It's true. Renesmee was born when I was still human." Bella says and looks at me to continue.
"And Claretta was born because of my powers." Eleazar's eyes move to lock with mine. "I've never heard of such a thing." Eleazar tells us. "They could show you if you let them." Jasper says to them and I look back at my daughter. Claretta and Renesmee walk forward, hand-in-hand with Jake walking beside them like a body guard.
"Tanya, you owe us this much. We're all under a death sentence because your sister didn't let us explain." Tanya looks back at Carmen who nods her head. Jake picks up Renesmee and it allows her to place her hand on Tanya's cheek.
I take Claretta into my arms and she locks eyes with Kate. Her brown eyes glow red and she slips into the blonde vampire's mind. I watch as she does, like a small fragment of a memory at the back of her mind, barely even there, just to make sure Claretta doesn't do anything wrong accidentally. She doesn't, and shows the woman her memories of Jasper and I, and Renesmee. From a baby, to now.
"It's true." Tanya says quietly and looks at Kate who stares back with equal shock. "She's not immortal." Tanya adds before Kate speaks up. "Neither is Claretta, she has her mother's gift." Claretta smiles at me and Kate stares at her curiously.
I know this won't be easy, with the rest of our family's fear of the unknown. But the unknown is unique, and that's why they shouldn't be afraid of it. They should be wanting to learn about it.

A/N- I'm sorry if this seems rushed, because it is 😭. I have my Welsh written GCSE tomorrow and I need to get some revision done but I wanted to update because I love this fic.
Just a heads up, I have a lot of exams over the next two weeks and updates might be later and shorter because of it, but I will continue to update!
