BELLA LAYS HUGGED AGAINT MY ARM AS THE CULLEN'S PACE AROUND THE ROOM. They each stare through the red forcefield and out into the woods where the wolves hide and watch. I hear their growls and heavy breathing. They're my friends, they don't need to do this. At least I thought they were my friends.
One of my arms is hugged tight by my best friend and the other holds a large book that I read about'Unique Creatures'. The words DEMON, VAMPIRE CHILD, IMMORTAL, hits my eyes and upset rushes through me. Jasper sends soothing waves of calm through me and looks up from the computer across the room to check on me. I close the book and stare down at my growing stomach. Baby isn't a demon. She can't be. A vampire maybe, but not a demon.
I place the book to the side and run my free hand through my curls. Jasper stands beside me in an instant and takes my hand, holding it comfortably. He places a kiss on my knuckles. I smile at him slightly and he takes the book I placed to the side and opens it, reading it so I don't feel upset.
Baby moves inside me and I feel my insides crack and shatter from her powerful force. I muffle out a groan and rub my stomach. I give my stomach a pained smile before my dark eyes lock with Jaspers.
"Jazz, it's okay. She doesn't mean to." I know my words don't ease him. Jasper glances down at my stomach before nodding slowly. "Jasper. I promise, I'm okay. She hasn't hurt me." I know he fears me getting hurt. I know how he fears not being able to protect me. But it's okay, because baby hasn't hurt me.

I sit on a hospital bed as Carlisle presses against my stomach gently. "She's growing incredibly fast." He says and I feel baby crush something inside me. I wince and Carlisle looks at me with wide eyes. "She's crushing you from the inside out." I look at the white screen with x-rays on it.
My thin body is there, but my stomach is gone. She doesn't appear on the screen. Carlisle moves his hands away and slips off his blue gloves and puts them in a bin. "But I can heal. I'll be okay." I pull down my top and Jasper stares at my stomach coldly. "Jazz." I start and shoot him a look.
"She's not hurting me." He scoffs and Carlisle looks between us before moving away and out of the room. Jasper waits for the door to close before speaking, even though it will do nothing for the vampires enhanced hearing. "I can feel what you're feeling. The pain she brings you just by moving." I sit myself up and swing my legs over the side of the bed.
"Babies move, it's meant to be uncomfortable." I tell him and hold my hands on my large stomach. "She's not meant to crush your bones." He argues back and I take in a breath, not wanting to argue.
"We are both vampires, theres a chance she is too. Not to mention she might develop my gift, and she probably has because she knows how to enter my mind when I let her. She's strong, and powerful, and she doesn't mean to hurt me." I say softly and feel her kick my stomach but I don't wince or flinch, it doesn't hurt me.
"See, she doesn't hurt me." I smile at him but he keeps his gaze on my stomach. "Jazz, I'm okay. Really." He slowly walks towards me with a sigh. I open my arms and hold him tightly in them. His arms hug my smaller frame tightly, but not tight enough to hurt me, afraid that if he lets me go I'll disappear.
"I can't bear the sight of you getting hurt, knowing I can't do anything to help." He mumbles and I brush my hands through his hair and shush him gently. "It's alright, amore mio. You being here is helping." I cradle him in my arms as he releases his fears into me and I give him comfort as I listen and help him understand that I'm alright and will never leave him.
