I WATCH IN FASCINATION AS EMMETT GETS LAUNCHED AWAY BY JASPER. Emmett collides with the ground harshly and dirt flies around him. Jasper stand up from his slightly crouched position and keeps his gaze locked on the large vampire opposite him. Emmett pounces to his feet almost instantly after his collision with the ground.
"Again!" He yells out and I hear a car approaching. Everyone stops and Edward steps out of the car with Bella. The scent of a wet dog greets me and Jasper walks over to me, wrapping an arm around my waist as we watch the wolves approach us through the woods.
I give them a smile and a wave, Sam nods his furry head at me. "They don't trust us enough to be in their human forms." Edward tells Carslile. "They came, that's what matters. Will you translate?" Carlisle asks Edward before the both of them step forward. Bella looks at me and I walk over to her with a smile.
"Welcome. Jasper has experience with Newborns. He'll teach us how to defeat them." Sam turns his head to look at Edward, his thoughts loud in his mind, I can hear them.
"They wanna know how the Newborns differ from us." Edward says to Carlisle. "They are a great deal stronger than us, because their own human blood lingers in their tissues, much like Tallulah's. Our kind is never more physically powerful than in our first several months of this life." Carlisle turns to Jasper who walks forward.
"Carlisle's right. That's why they are created. A Newborn army doesn't need thousands like a human army, but no human army could stand against them." One of the wolves let out a growl. Jasper's arms are held behind his back as he paces.
"Now, the two most important things to remember are; first, never let them get their arms around you, they'll crush you instantly. And second, never go for the obvious kill, they'll be expecting that, and you will lose." Jasper turns away from the wolves. Okay, I know this is meant to be dramatic but I can't help but find this incredibly hot.
Edward shoots me a disgusted look at my thoughts and I only shrug. What, it's true. Jasper sends me a slight smirk with a wink before calling out Emmett's name to fight. The two men walk to stand opposite each other. "Don't hold back." Jasper says to him. "Not in my nature." Emmett smirks before rushing at Jasper.
His arms hook around my boyfriend's waist and Emmett pushes him backwards. Shoes skid through dirt before Emmett throws Jasper into the air. My stomach rises into my throat. I know they won't purposely hurt each other, but I can't help but feel worried for my mate. Jasper lands on his feet and rushes towards Emmett.
Emmett throws a punch towards the blonde but he ducks under his arm and elbows in between Emmett's shoulder blades and the large man falls to the ground. Jasper stands over him. Relief washes over me. I shoot him a proud smirk and he keeps his gaze down at Emmett. "Never lose focus." Jasper walks over to me and scoops his arm around my waist, pressing a kiss to my temple.
