BELLA LOOKS AROUND HER ROOM FRANTICALLY. "What are you looking for?" I ask her and she accidentally hits her head on her desk as she searches under it. "The book. You know, the one with the legends?" She says and then moves onto the drawers in her bedside table.
"I just need to make sure I'm right." She tells me and lets out a sigh as she the book from the drawer. "You are right, they're wolves." She flicks through the pages rapidly. "I know, but this is Jacob. Jacob can't be a wolf." She scoffs out and I raise my eyebrows.
"The same Jacob who knew about Cold Ones can't be a wolf?" Bella lets out a sighs and flops backwards onto the bed. I chuckle slightly and flop back with her. She rests her hands on her stomach, staring at the ceiling. "It's just... I can't lose Jake. Not like I lost him." Bella mutters out and I nudge her shoulder gently.
"You won't lose Jake. I know he's all... intenseand moody at the moment, but it's because of the change. He's just terrified that he'll hurt you, much like I was when I awoke. But when he learns his strengths, he'll be back." Bella nods her head and moves to sit up.
"I need to see him though, he can't leave. I'm not going to let him. He needs to know that I'm here for him." I let out a sigh and push myself to sit. "I can't come with you if you do go see him." She nods her head. "The one thing I know about the wolves is don't get them angry." Bella presses her hands into the soft bed to push herself to stand.
"You'll be in the woods though? Listening?" I nod my head. "I'll be there."

I calm my breathing and close my eyes as I meditate. I want to try and do the same thing I did when Bella confronted Jake. My legs are lifted from the ground and my arms rest gently over them as I hover in the air. The area surrounding me changes and I see Bella knock on the door of Billy's house.
He wheels himself over to her, opening the front door. "Bella?" He says and she places her hands in the back pockets of her jeans. "I need to see him." She tells the man. "He's not in." Billy lies. I can smell Jacob, and hear the faint snores coming from his room.
"Okay, I'm sorry, I really need to see him." She moves around the man and walks down the corridor. I walk after her, being careful to not touch or knock over anything. Bella opens Jake's bedroom door and watches him for a moment as he sleeps peacefully.
The overwhelming smell of a wet dog greets me. I look out the window, spotting Sam and some of the pack approaching. Bella leaves the room quickly, storming out of the door. "What did you do?" She asks Sam, rage clear in her voice. "What did you do? Hey!- What did you do to him!?" She shoves some backwards, causing Jared to let out a growl and step forward.
