"ARE YOU SURE CHARLIE WON'T MIND?" I ask Bella as I lean forward in the backseat as Jake occupies the passenger. "I don't want to bother him." I tell Bella who smiles at me through the rear view mirror.
"He won't mind at all. And besides, the girls will have fun." I smile at Bella and Claretta, who sits in the side, leans over me to talk to Renesmee who sits on the other side of me. I look between them both with an amused look on my face.
"I'm surprised you took a break from Jedi training." Jake says, looking at Bella before moving back to me. "I'm always training, you've got to stay One With The Force, my young Padawan." I mimic an older man's voice and Jake laughs in amusement.
"If I don't take Renesmee to see my dad, he'll come to us. And I know he's going to enjoy the girls' company." Bella tells the wolf. "Twenty-eight vampires, one human. Not a great match." I lean forward and tell Jake.
"I know that's what you told Edward, and Jasper." Jake says quietly and I shoot him a look before glancing at my daughter who is too occupied leaning over me and playing with Renesmee's long hair. Bella looks the wolf up and down.
"Whatever." Jake says and clicks his tongue. "I'm just glad to get away from all those reeking blood-suckers." I pinch his cheek. He yelps and slaps away my hand. "We aren't all bad, Jake." I say and he rubs the red skin from my pinch.
"But come on, Dracula One and Two, are... creepy." I chuckle at his words and he makes a face at the thought of the two old vampires.
The car pulls in opposite Charlie's house and Renesmee gets out of the car with Claretta following behind the girl. I get out of the middle back seat and move around to wait by the passenger seat door.
"Wow! Look at you, you've grown half a foot. And you Claretta, you're so tall." Claretta stands a full upper face taller than Renesmee. "Like half a foot, seriously. Like six inches." He turns to Sue Clearwater who smiles. "Come on inside, lunch is on the table." She invites with a smile.
"We got a tree to decorate, huh?" Charlie swings his arm over Renesmee's shoulder whilst the other places atop of Claretta's head. "We've got a few errands to run, guys. We'll be back soon." I say with a smile and open the car door.
I sit inside and so does Bella. The car pulls off quickly. "So who even is J. Jenks?" I ask Bella and look at the trees the fly past the car quickly. "I don't know, but I think Alice has a plan for us after all." She says and taps her fingertips on the steering wheel.
"I don't think she abandoned us." I say to Bella and she takes a glance at me before returning her eyes to the road. "I think she's looking for someone." I tell Bella. "I've been trying to search for her mind, and I've been getting bits and pieces of her thoughts. But because wherever she is, is far away, I can't get more than one or two thoughts." I explain and raindrops hit the glass.
