JASPER HOLDS MY HAND GENTLY AS I PICK FLOWERS FROM OUR FIELD. "I don't think you should be doing this." He tells me and I wrap an arm around my large stomach as I reach to grab a flower. I hold in my fingers as I stand back up with my hand full of flowers.
"I'm fine. She's just heavy." I rub my stomach as I speak. "And these are for Bella to make her feel better." I tell my husband and inspect the flowers in my hands. "You could just buy a bouquet." He points out and I shake my head. "It's not the same. These hold more meaning than ones that are bought." I fluff out the flowers delicately.
Jasper swings my legs over his arm and holds me bridal style. I let out a noise before a giggle. "This always makes me feel giddy." Butterflies dance in my stomach. Jasper smiles down at me and his skin sparkles under the sunlight. "I'll keep doing it then." I smile brightly at him and he runs through the woods with me in his arms.
He runs quickly and I hold my stomach gently in one hand with the flowers in the other. The house comes into view and he keeps me in his arms as he walks back into the house. "I can walk, you know." I say to him and he smirks. "I like carrying you." I raise my eyebrows and he rolls his eyes with a chuckle as he places me on my feet.
I spot Bella in the sofa and place a kiss to Jasper's lips before walking over to her with the flowers in one hand. "Hey, I got you some flowers, you looked a bit upset so I thought they might cheer you up." Bella smiles and takes the roses from my hands.
"Thank you, they're beautiful." I smile at her and sit down beside her. "So, what do you want to do today?" I ask her and the scent of a wet dog greets me, two dogs. Jake and Seth. I can hear them arguing.
"If Sam comes after Bella and Tallulah, are you really ready to fight your own brothers?" Jake asks the younger shifter and I lock eyes with Jasper from across the room. He moves to stand and walks over to the balcony as Jake and Seth walk through the woods to the house.
"Get ready." Jake warns Jasper. "They're coming for Tallulah and Bella." He adds and Edward walks onto the balcony, joining my blonde husband. "They're not going to touch them." Edward tells him and Bella looks at me. "What's going on. What do you hear?" She asks me concerned.
Edward walks into the room and from the look on his face. I know what I need to do. I gently push myself to stand but Jasper wraps his arm around my waist. "It's okay, I'll be okay." I tell him and my eyes glow a deep red along with my hands and I lift a forcefield to cover the house. Fatigue crawls within me but I brush it away with a deep exhale. Bella stares at me intensely.
"Will someone please tell me what's going on?"

"Sam's lost the element of surprise, and he doesn't want to take you on outnumbered, so he's not gonna come at you head on. He's got the place surrounded, he'll wait for his opportunity." Jake's eyes skim to me. "He'll try and get Tallulah out of the picture because she's the most powerful outta you all, he knows that he won't stand a chance if she's here." Jasper tightens his hold on my hand. I shoot him a glance.
"He won't get through without a fight." Emmett tells the werewolf. "No fight. We won't be the ones to break The Treaty." Carlisle says to us all. "The Treaty is void, at least in Sam's mind." Jake says to them. "Not in ours." Esme tells him. "Carlisle, no one's hunted for weeks." Victor tells the man as he steps closer to him. His eyes are black.
"We'll make do." Esme says to the dark haired man. "You've done us a great service Jacob. Thank you." Carlisle thanks the werewolf and Jasper's gaze locks on the young boy. "Jacob, how does Sam plan on disposing of Tallulah?" The blonde vampire beside me asks.
"He's going to try and separate you. He'll force Tallulah out of the house, to lower the forcefield and the wolves will attack whilst she's defenceless." Jake says and Jasper straightens his back. "Does he plan on killing her? Or just the child?" Jake's eyes fill with sadness.
"Both." I won't let him. I don't care if I die. I will not let my baby die at the hands of someone I considered a friend.
