He furnished cunningly, with a devious smile of ferocious distaste that it was scalding.
Maybe he couldn't control it.
He'd blown a fuse, knowing she'd whimper, buckle, and scramble trying to piece him back together again.She was a pearl well lived, a royal gem hidden in the dust. But her unshakable love for him might destroy her, for his temper was hot and crisp.
