Truth be told her heart was shards of glass, swirling through the crevices of her ribs. They were fractured chips trying to piece themselves together but her mind wouldn't let them.
I'm protecting us, saving us from more pain.
But what could hurt more than this?
A haggard skeleton fading into chaos, she was tired of waiting, of her heart being ripped and torn through her fingertips.
