The shock waves crash into her eardrums, shattering her sound. It is splitting, piercing through her like a turbulent thundering.
Another ache comes.
Bewildered, she wonders how she can fix this. Yet still, she holds on to her beliefs, grasping scraps, avoiding her deathbed, and burning the covers.
