Have you ever felt like it was the end? Like today was just a bad day? That no matter how many times you believe that something can happen that it just might not? That no one gives a damn at all? That all you do...

How are you supposed to get over someone when your heart still hurts for them?
If I think about you for too long my heart aches.
He's gone.
Despite the truth staring back at her
No one can wake her up.
He's not coming back.
They're done.
Bruised heart beating in her ruptured chest.
Holding on to her deranged belief that there's something left.
The waves come crashing in
Drowning in the places that should've been.
His love has come to an end.
But hers still lingers on her fingertips.
There's so much damage.
He's long gone.
But why does he show up in every poem and every song?
A broken heart can last a lifetime even when years have passed. Maybe you didn't mean to hurt me...but disappearing? That was worse than you never loving me.
