It Was Supposed To Be Us
As the human brain tries to figure out where her heart went, it tries to restitch, and tear this connection it has to love, the yearning it aches for as it soothes its existence, pulling her along to every hardship that threatens to pull her under.But it can also be a fool's errand, a joker with tricks, a tormentor who pulls your wits to their end.
It's hard to grasp, to put together, so profound, so brittling crisp.
Agony, sacrifice, blistering hurdles that creep on the other side.They might have made it if they hadn't crumbled, turned around and called it quits, accepted defeat.
A glowing graphic lost, a desperate heart imparted, it was supposed to be them.
Him and her.
Her and him.
Until the end.
